Today is an exciting day at Fitt. We are happy to announce the closing of our seed funding round with an investment from Nutting’s TNC Ventures.
We started Fitt in 2016 with the goal of connecting people to their local fitness community. In the time since, we’ve experienced tremendous growth by bootstrapping expansion from one to 20 city-specific sites devoted to local fitness studios, healthy eateries, and outdoor adventures that inform and inspire individuals to take action in the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle.
Now, with the support of great partners in the Nuttings, we have the resources to pursue rapid geographic expansion while enhancing our platform to include content partnerships, event and class registration, and dynamic pricing.
As we forge ahead, we’re laser-focused on becoming the brand and platform that represents health and fitness on a local level. We’re committed to eliminating the unrealistic narrative that’s often associated with being “healthy” by creating a fun and social experience driven by our content and enhanced by the ability to register for events, classes, and activities. We’re excited to move into the next phase of what we expect to be transformational growth for our company and community of contributors, readers, and content partners.

PITTSBURGH — AUGUST 9, 2017 — Fitt, a media platform and activity marketplace is making healthy fun and social by connecting people to their local fitness community.
With contributors on the ground in cities across the country, Fitt’s localized content features fitness studios, healthy eateries, and outdoor adventures that inspire individuals to take action in the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle. To fuel further action, Fitt has created a curated event hub where individuals discover, share, and sign up for local fitness activities.
Since its launch in 2016, Fitt has experienced tremendous growth by bootstrapping expansion from one to 20 city-specific sites while its core audience increased 200 percent year-over-year. At the same time, the company has created innovative content sponsorships for healthcare, retail, and event partners, including Kaiser Permanente, UPMC Health Plan, Aerie, Ragnar Relay Series, and other brands seeking to reach and engage a key audience of health-minded millennials.
By focusing on localized content and events, Fitt has demonstrated an ability to move users from content discovery to sign-up and participation. Now with the close of their seed round the company is poised to expand its geographic footprint while enhancing its product to include content partnerships, event and class registration, and dynamic pricing.
