STAT, according to Oja, acts as a bridge between medicine and movement. And once you’ve got the medicine, your next move will be developing your “FIT prescription”. STAT offers three types of classes intentionally designed to help you achieve your fitness goals, all led by highly-experienced and well-decorated trainers. STAMINA is a HIIT-style workout that utilizes various equipment such as kettlebells and assault bikes to get your heart pumping and torch some serious calories. STRENGTH focuses on building muscle and perfecting form so you can maximize results and witness how effective strength training can be for your mind and body. STABILITY is—well, you guessed it—all about strengthening your core and improving balance and flexibility.
But your prescription isn’t limited to just one: “For example, if someone is trying to build muscle mass I am going to recommend 3 STRENGTH, 1 STAMINA, and 1 STABILITY per week.” Fitt Tip: if group fitness isn’t your cup of tea, their team is also available for one-on-one personal training.
Currently, knowing that there are no quick fixes in fitness or chronic medicine, STAT offers annual memberships for $199/month, but as a business committed to offering affordable and attainable health and wellness services, they have a whole slew of pricing options from class packages to health coaching and IV therapies.
Looking ahead, this hybrid and niche concept might be the first for Atlanta, but it won’t be the last. Kristin Oja and STAT have major plans for growth; they aim to perfect their concept with the goal of opening five new locations in five years, as well as consulting with clients nationwide through webinars and “courses”.
