Calling all SoCo dwellers! We found your home gym. CrossFit Austin makes a point of being well-rounded — in addition to honing your body, they want your mind and spirit to get fit, too. Their coaches are friendly, knowledgeable, and well-equipped to meet you where you are. So, whether you’ve been doing WODs for years or have no idea what that means, this gym has you covered. Fitt Tip: there’s nothing quite like the sound of their “PR Gong”, especially when it’s struck for you.
The folks here know that with tough workouts can come even tougher injuries, so Fortitude Strength & Conditioning makes safety their number one priority. Coming into a clean + jerk or box jump cold can be frightening. That’s why they have a leveling system designed to make sure no one is asked to perform exercises beyond their body’s capability; you can be confident that you’re in safe hands. If you’re a northeast Austinite (or reside just southeast in Bastrop) looking to see if CrossFit is the right workout for you, this is the place to explore it.
So you like warehouse workouts, huh? A place where it feels like they welded the Rogue rigs on site? Well, you might want to stop by CrossFit Jääkarhu, where they’re in the business of building athletes out of their South Congress warehouse. And let’s just say their coaching and programming are pretty great — they have a community that will pull you in and knowledgeable coaches that will lift you up, no matter if you’re looking to train for fitness, sport, weightlifting, or a spot on the podium at the CrossFit Games.

Aside from training, members here are down to take on different challenges together — groups train for races, obstacle courses, and CrossFit competitions. So, if you’re ready to take it to the next level, this is your spot.

The coaches at CrossFit South Lamar design their workouts to be broad, general, and all-inclusive. They believe that specialization is the enemy, and instead want to prepare you for any and all obstacles that might get in your way. Try out their standard CrossFit class if you want to test yourself, or compete with others on the online leaderboard. But SOLA also offers an Olympic lifting class called RAWW Barbell or a conditioning-based class that’ll torch calories. So, whether you’re a cage fighter who wants to perfect your moves or a senior looking to up your strength and reduce pain, these workouts are scaled to meet every need.
