What do we do in the lab? We experiment. And the experts at Generator Athlete Lab, due to open in the Seaholm District in ATX, are here for it. At Generator Athlete Lab, you will roll, stretch, and strengthen your way to your maximum fitness potential. With group classes, one-on-one fitness and nutrition coaching, and self-guided recovery areas, you can practically feel the energy surging through this state-of-the-art space.
Recovery is something everyone can get down with these days. It’s what everyone says they need to do, but it’s easy to neglect recovery. But once you let the experts at Generator guide you through their evidence based recovery, it’ll become something you love (and can’t live without).
Just imagine it’s Saturday, right after your long run around Lady Bird Lake or your favorite Generator Athlete Lab HIIT class. You can jet over to Generator Athlete Lab for some structured recovery with Normatec compression boots, infrared sauna, and cold/hot tubs. It’s not everywhere where you can access all three of these!
And if you’re looking for a huge sigh of sweet relief, book yourself a bodywork treatment. Keep it classic with a massage, or try something new like cupping and scraping (exactly what it sounds like). Every fiber in your body (literally, if you’re into fascial stretch therapy) will thank you for taking the time to recover!
The class schedule at Generator Athlete Lab offers up access to six different, functional skill sets — stretch, core, strength, HIIT, tough (like strength but tougher), and foam rolling. If this complete athletic programming seems simple, that’s because it is. Just these six classes focus on what you need to keep your body in tip-top shape. We recommend rotating through the class schedule — you might be surprised how you feel, even if you’ve never considered yourself an athlete!
And like any great holistic fitness space, Generator Athlete Lab is also the home to a cafe! We aren’t sure of the menu specifics yet, but we like what we do know: the cafe will be your place to refuel with coffee, cold-pressed juice, and grab-and-go snacks of the healthy variety.
The best news: after a long wait, it’s officially open for business as of September 15, 2018! You can book a class here ahead of time, schedule an appointment, or go all out for membership.
Check them out in the Seaholm Power Plant — your body and mind will thank you!
