If you’re desperately looking for another guilt-free excuse to head to Whole Foods Market downtown, Next Level Burger is it. The freshest vegan burger restaurant in the city opened October 12, 2018 and is sure to level-up your typical burger-and-a-shake-please order. Don’t tell all of your friends just yet and you might be able to avoid long lines at peak hours for this diet-friendly game-changer.
If you have beef with no-beef burgers, hear us out! With seven other hopping locations on the West and East coasts, Next Level’s menu is finely-tuned and worth a taste. Burgers come with savory patties like the black bean and veggie patty, bold flavors like tempeh bacon and jalapeño mayo, and fresh add-ins like creamy guacamole and sautéed mushrooms. The ultimate burger on the menu might just be The Animal, with a double patty and a layer of crinkle cut fries. Is your mouth watering yet?
Now, let’s talk about everything else on the menu. From veggie hot dogs to three-bean chili to salads and sandwiches, Next Level Burger has a lot to offer. Their Fries with Style are must-tries and add a little oomph to your regular side order. Note: the “style” could be anything from from heaps grilled onions and special sauce to tempeh bacon and creamy blue cheese.
The cherry on top — their dairy-free shakes. Made with hand-spun soy or coconut soft serve, you don’t have to feel too bad about indulging your sweet tooth. Choose a classic vanilla shake or really shake it up with a dark chocolate peanut butter cup shake. We’ll meet you there for lunch… and dinner.
Not only is the whole menu plant-based, but the company is green. As advocates for a healthy planet, they ensure eco-friendly and sustainable practices from compostable packaging to reclaimed wood tables inside each location. That’s a burger we can stand behind, bite into and chew. And with regularly scheduled rooftop Fitness on the Plaza and one of 249 worldwide Master Sommeliers on staff curating wine, all that’s missing from Whole Food Market Lamar is a bed.
