It’s no secret our city has been having a bit of a growth spurt lately. With that come quite a few benefits, and there is one in particular we are especially stoked about! SunLife Organics, Malibu’s staple juice go-to, is opening its first Texas location right here in Austin.
By spring 2020, SunLife Organics will no longer be just a trendy brand featured in your Instagram feed. It will be another neighborhood favorite, adding a touch of healthy flavor to South Congress’s quickly expanding Music Lane development.
And if the name itself doesn’t spark a grin, the selection of acai bowls, bone broth, superfoods, and smoothies, paired with the laid-back, SoCal vibes definitely will.
SunLife Organics, didn't just happen overnight, though. After surviving drug addiction and resulting homelessness, owner Khalil Rafati was introduced to juicing by a friend and immediately understood he had found something special. So, he began experimenting with new concoctions, flavors, and healthy add-ins. Following a lot of hard work (and the help and support of co-owner Hayley Gorcey), SunLife Organics was born.
So, it should come as no surprise that the concept is all about health, wellness, and healing and that plays out in their community presence. Other locations are known for hosting health-focused guest panels, conversations, and meditations, so keep an eye out once the Austin eatery opens.
As far as the menu goes, it’s filled with all sorts of fresh, organic, and good-for-you ingredients. Think signature shakes (the Keto Power is a must-try) and smoothies, delicious cold-pressed juices, bowls topped with cashew butter, bee pollen, and goji berries, small-batch bone broth from grass-fed beef, and more. Drooling yet?
We're already counting down the days to when SunLife Organics finally makes its way to the Lonestar State this spring. In the meantime, watch their Instagram for updates on opening day so you can be among the first in line!
