Tired of making the weekly trek to get your favorite “Mother Earth” bowl. Well, get excited because starting December 13th, you won’t have to head so far north to enjoy a tasty meal at Flower Child! The healthy, cheery, fast-casual restaurant is coming downtown, and we’re expecting even more of the same organic and deliciously-crafted menu.
Blooming where they’re planted
It’s hard to go wrong when you offer great food in an accepting atmosphere. Flower Child is an eatery that’s hoping to support Austinites in their pursuit of a well-balanced life. Here, every day is an opportunity to make healthy choices fun (with kale, avocado — all the favorites).
Fox Restaurant Concepts are already pioneers of other successful Austin eateries like True Food Kitchen, Culinary Dropout, and North Italia. And after the success of last fall’s debut of Flower Child in the Domain, the healthful cafe will be expanding downtown and sharing a space on West 2nd Street in the newly remodeled building that once was the Green Water Treatment Plant. Yes, you should be pumped.
Healthy food for a happy world
Flower Child is a culinary treat — delicious, scratch-made, healthy fare in a relaxed atmosphere. The menu will feature vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. Think grain bowls and salads, but also mac n’ cheese (available gluten-free, no less). Love your veggies? Us too. Get ready to get down with more of your Yuzu Brussels Sprouts, Indian Spiced Cauliflower, and Red Chili Glaze Sweet Potatoes.
Too spicy for you? Thirst not — we’re expecting the same fresh juices, and kombucha and cold brew on tap as their northern location.
Flower crowns, peace signs, and fruity water
This laid-back space is a place to catch up with friends, grab a bite after a good sweat, or enjoy a nutrient-filled brunch after a night out. It’s safe to say you can still expect to see the fruit-infused water and the yoga mat parking space (one of the few free parking areas in Austin), but we’re looking forward to all the surprises yet to come in this new location.
Stay tuned, stay hungry!
