With other locations around Baltimore in Hunt Valley and Owings Mills, boutique fitness studio Club Pilates has posted up at The Rotunda. There’s no doubt this studio and workout have become trendy — it’s an all-levels  full-body, low-impact workout that’s guaranteed to make you sweat. Here, you’ll use a combination of equipment ranging from the classic Pilates reformer to a BOSU Ball. Intrigued? Your first class is free, so go try it out! Best of all, after that sweat sesh you can head over to MOM’s for a juice or MOD Pizza for a gluten-free ’za.

  • Poké Bowl

One of the biggest and Instagrammable dining trends these days is poke. While a tried-and-true dish in Hawaii, the trend has exploded onto the mainland food scene in recent years, creating a serious fandom for these raw fish bowls. If you’re looking to get your poke on, Poké Bowl opened a new location on Light St. in Federal Hill in October, joining a family of shops established in Cockeysville, Lutherville, Bel Air, downtown on North Calvert St, and a sixth spot anticipated to open soon in Owings Mills. Fitt Tip: they now offer a sushi burrito, too!

  • Clean Juice

Just when we thought Locust Point couldn’t get any more perfect for fitness fanatics, Clean Juice announced its first Maryland franchise opening in the neighborhood — they’re expected to open this January. Ready to keep it clean in 2019? Expect juices (obviously), smoothies, acai bowls, juice cleanses, and, our favorite, avocado toast!

  • Core Cycle Studios

Technically not new, but your two of your favorite Baltimore fitness brands Core Cycle and Zen Life Yoga have joined forces to create one badass studio in Lutherville offering everything you can think of! Yes, Core Cycle already offered yoga on top of its barre and cycling classes, but now you can expect more yoga classes offered on the schedule and all of your favorite instructors under one roof. Pack your gym bag and get your asana to meet some new instructors!

You all may be familiar with MOM’s market cafe, Naked Lunch. Well, MOM’s is at it again, but with a new in-store concept. Inside their Timonium market, MOM’s opened its own healthy bake shop, featuring a menu offering the nutritious and delicious goods — organic vegetarian and vegan sandwiches, raw cold-pressed juices, savory muffins, and house-made organic breads, to name a few. So, next time you stop in to stock up for meal prepping and #refrigerator goals, do it with a plant-based sammie in hand!

Taco Tuesday just got a little better! Introducing Taco Noche, the newest addition to The Rotunda as of this fall. A spin-off of Avenue Kitchen & Bar—the taco pop-up’s wintertime refuge—it is just a small stand on the square offering up some of the best and healthiest tacos around, featuring flour tortillas topped with carnitas, banh mi, jerk chicken, and brisket. And, best of all about the menu, can use a lettuce cup as the “tortilla” to your taco! Our personal favorite? The New Years Resolution, topped with portobello mushrooms, black beans, grilled corn, escabeche carrots, cotija cheese, and avocado! Don’t forget the Mexican street corn and fresh made guac — you’ll thank us for it.

Vent Coffee Roasters is the newest addition to UNION Collective in Hampden. The UNION space is already booming, currently hosting Earth Treks, The Charmery, and Union Brewery, so it only makes sense to add coffee, right? Vent is a Baltimore-based roastery, and the September 2018 addition of their first brick-and-mortar cafe is reason to gather. Use their caffeine boost before climbing or swing by and stay awhile to catch up with friends. Enjoy drip coffee or a lavender latte in this bright open space.
