This Boston hot spot (formerly known as "Dig Inn") has quickly become one of the city’s favorite go-tos for good-for-you eats. And Dig mindfully sources their ingredients from local farmers, so you always know you’re eating the best. Choose from a menu specifically crafted to blend flavors and spices perfectly, or you can make your own bowl. Need a rec? The name says it all. This Boston food lab is bringing customers new food to test out every day that’s plant-based, kosher, and so damn good. The Elephant Walk opened its doors in 1991, so at this point, it’s pretty clear that they’re here to stay — and there’s no mystery as to why. This South End staple is serving a unique blend of Cambodian-French food that’s to die for. The head chef strives to maintain a healthy, nutritious, and innovative menu with offerings ranging from Cambodian classics to in-house inventions. Feel free to invite all your friends to join because they’ve got vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options for your eating pleasure.

Taking plant-based meals to a whole new level is what True Bistro in Somerville does best. Inspired by cuisines from all around the world, their dinner menu starts off with exotic salads featuring French lentils, maple-pepper pecans, and fresh fruit — further enticing you with some super-satisfying small plates, perfect for when you just need a little something. Feeling a bit hungrier? Check out their large plates. They’re designed to share, but no one is judging if you don’t. In fact, we don’t blame you if you want to keep the deliciousness all to yourself. Our favorite? The house-made spaghetti.

Grainmaker's name and catchphrase, "Let's Make It Grain!", might fool you into thinking they're not 100% gluten-free. But the grain actually refers to grains of rice, as in Southeast Asia-inspired rice bowls, plus salads and some pretty top-notch tacos. Serving a seasonal menu of street foods like The Hipstir, a signature bowl with cauli rice, kale, sweet-chili Brussels sprouts, and toasted sesame vinaigrette (as well as your choice of protein), Grainmaker's downtown Summer St. location is a lock for lunchtime. Bonus: due in 2019, Grainmaker has plans for a new outpost in Somerville.

That’s right, this is a whole cafe dedicated to serving—you guessed it—oatmeal. No, it’s not too good to be true. Check out this Somerville eatery for all the oatmeal you could possibly imagine. There are sweet bowls, savory bowls, and custom options, too. Add on an egg or tofu scramble for a little extra protein. You can also top off any bowl with an array of fruits, nuts, and seeds.

This community-centered restaurant serves only the best organic food that will leave you with renewed energy. Wholesome meal? You betcha.
