Now that we have your attention… It all started with brunch. When Alie Sockol moved to Boston, she struggled to satisfy her weekly craving for a truly great brunch. So she took her passion for home fries and Bloody Marys and turned it into Brunches of Boston, where you can go to get all the deets on where to nosh on the weekends. Along with reviews of restaurants all over the city, the group also hosts special events, including Brunch Fit.
Brunch Fit pairs the very best of Boston brunch with the very best of Boston fitness. The events are held nearly every weekend – sometimes there’s even one on Saturday AND one of Sunday. And they’re made for people who love food and fitness as much as we do.
To get an idea of what to expect at a Brunch Fit event, here’s the rundown on one coming up soon: On October 23, Brunch Fit partners with Dare U Fitness and Pier 6 to bring you a morning you won’t want to miss.
The event kicks off at Shipyard Park in the Charlestown Navy Yard with a 45-minute bootcamp-style workout. Dare U Fitness uses high-intensity intervals combined with strength and conditioning exercises to get your blood pumping. After sweating it out with Dare U, you’ll be more than ready for brunch at the nearby Pier 6 restaurant.
At Pier 6, you’ll be treated to a private brunch where you’ll sip mimosas and refuel with delicious eats while taking in a view of Boston Harbor that can’t be beat. And when the meal is finished, don’t forget to collect your swag bag full of goodies from local businesses.
Sounds great, right? So great that you’re probably starting to think that Brunch Fit events are going to cost you an arm and a leg. Not so. Individual Brunch Fit tickets will set you back $39, a killer deal for a top-quality workout and an amazing meal in Boston.
And if you love brunch and fitness as much as we do, you can purchase a three-pack for only $99. The only hard part is deciding which Brunch Fit events to use it on.
We’ll keep you up to date on all things health, fitness and local food in Boston.
