We’re pretty lucky here in Boulder: our little town is big on healthy eats. But if you’ve been around awhile, you might have noticed one healthy favorite has been missing from the lineup. Yes, we’re talking about Zeal.
After giving up their spot on Pearl St. last year, Zeal had a brief stint in a temporary location before closing up shop and leaving us all teary-eyed. But now it’s time to dry those eyes, because Zeal is bringing its crave-worthy bites back to Boulder… for good!
If you’ve not yet experienced a Zeal meal, here’s the scoop: they rule the real food world, serving up fresh and healthy meals from daily breakfast to dinner. Their food is GMO-free with a focus on locally-sourced organic ingredients. They use very few common food allergens in their cooking and cater to just about any diet — from vegan to paleo, and everything in between.
Owners Wayde Jester and Chelsea Norton are excited to get back to Boulder and remain committed to providing healthy eats and drinks with an emphasis on ingredient transparency. The Boulder location will feel deliciously familiar to the OG spot you knew and loved. Expect a similar menu full of new creations and former favorites, from their signature superfood bowls with scratch-made dressings to the tropical-tasting acai bowls and fresh-pressed juices.
And you won’t have to wait long to dive into Zeal’s dishes, because the restaurant is set to open early this fall at 30th & Pearl St. at Junction Place. Expect an open, inviting vibe with a large patio and plenty of parking. Looking to get a taste before the grand opening? You’re in luck — they park their food truck at The Rayback each week, so you can start sampling their selection to plan out your regular orders. They’re also returning to the Boulder Farmers Market on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings and afternoons, so overzealous foodies will be set until the new shop officially opens its doors.
