Boulder is growing in more ways than one, and the fitness scene is no exception. It must be the effect from the wave of national studios taking Denver—SoulCycle, TITLE Boxing, Rush Cycle, and Alchemy365, to name a few. And it wasn’t too long ago that Chicago’s Shred415 opened their first Mile High studio either. Well, now they have their sights on Boulder.

THE SHRED

So, what is it? Think 60 minutes of instructor-led, dynamic HIIT that moves you between the high-tech Woodway treadmill and strength-based floor training — aka strength + tread = Shred.

Whether you’re a competitive athlete or total newbie, Shred415 will welcome you. Then, they’ll challenge you, motivate you, and empower you. You’ll earn the “Shredder” label after your first visit. Then you’ll be back for more… because it hurts so good.

THE SCOOP

Shred415 has three locations open or locked in around Denver to date. The first opened its doors in September 2018 in the Shoppes at Highpointe Center (I-25 and Hampden). Another will open in the University Park Shopping Center in Highlands Ranch in fall 2019, but Boulder‘s up first: they’re planning to occupy 1895 28th St. (by REI and Marshall’s), anticipating a summer 2019 opening.

And this is just the beginning — they’ve got plans to open 30 (yes, 30!) studios all over the state in the coming years.

And hey, thousands of Chicagoans can’t be wrong — this is one sweat spot you’re gonna want to check out.
