Eating healthy seems to come at a high price. We either go to more than one grocery store to get the wholesome goods we crave or end up spending our entire paycheck just to eat foods without pesticides or ingredients we can’t pronounce. Well, your days of frustration are over — Lucky’s Market is here.
Think of Lucky’s like a more modernized farmers market or a more down-to-earth Whole Foods. Hailing from Colorado, husband and wife duo, Trish and Bo Sharon were sick of hopping around from store to store just to get the quality produce they were looking for. Grocery shopping is meant to be easy, right? Thankfully, others agree because Lucky’s Cafe has spread from Boulder to Montana to Florida and now, they’re calling Lakewood home.
On the corner of Clifton Blvd. and West 117th St., shoppers will find a plethora of organic goods, a DIY apothecary section (shoppers can try, taste, and smell the remedies before buying), local vendors that support the community, and a whole lot more. They even have an in-house ramen bar! But Lucky’s is so much more than a convenient place for the health-minded to shop; they actually care.
They offer “never ever meats,” which have no antibiotics or growth hormones (ever), their dairy only comes from the happiest cows not treated with rGBH (a nasty growth hormone), and their produce is local and organic.
That’s what we call an all-around win, friends.
Since Lucky’s is still new to CLE, help them celebrate by stocking your fridge with their fresh, sustainably-sourced, good-for-you foods. We’ve got a feeling you won’t be visiting another grocery store anytime soon.
