With so many kick-ass studios around town, yoga has never been more accessible. So get rid of that “nama-staying in bed” mentality and get out to one of these local studios to open up that mind, body, and spirit.
Cleveland Yoga seems to be everywhere we turn these days. With locations in Beachwood, Concord, Westlake, and Little Italy you’re never too far from a Cleveland Yoga studio. Probably one of the most noteworthy things about these studios is the amount of events they’re a part of — they have Hip-Hop Yoga nights, they put on awesome monthly workshops, and even have their own running club. And if you’ve never been there before, be sure to check out their New Students page to see how you can get introduced to your first class!
Just west of downtown in Westlake is C6, aka CoreSix Yoga (and formerly Krysia Energy Yoga). Offering a variety of heated and nonheated classes, there’s a class for every experience level and practice. Try an intense Sculpt & Flow class in the heated studio for a hybrid yoga/cross-training class or unwind with an iRest meditation session. The studio also offers weekly barre classes and a monthly Open House for curious yogis.
As if you needed another reason to love Ohio City, Vision Yoga and Wellness makes their home on West 25th St. And not only do they offer yoga, they also provide massage therapy services (there’s no room for tight muscles here!). But West 25th St. isn’t the only location you can enjoy Vision; they branched out to Vision Underground — a lower level space beneath St. John’s Episcopal Church (on Church Ave.) to offer even more classes. Fitt Tip: if you’re new to Vision, try out the studio for four weeks with their $40 special!
Harmony Studios was created to do just that: spread harmony. What sets this lovely Willoughby studio apart from others is they have two studios under one roof designated for particular classes. They have a Radiant, a heated studio that burns calories faster, enhances flexibility, and boosts metabolism. Meanwhile, their Zen Studio offers the same style classes, only at a slower pace and with no heat. You can literally bounce between studios depending on how your body is feeling that particular day!
Want to get grounded? Look no further than Yoga Roots — they offer a variety of restorative yoga classes suited for novices and pros alike. Try a Slow Flow class, or a Power vinyasa class for flow with an edge. And since this studio treats their members right, you can even bring a friend for free (as long as they’re new). But if Cleveland Heights is a bit of a hike for you, you can check out their second location in Lakewood.
Breathe and sweat your way to self-discovery in a blissful sanctuary. If that sounds like something you could get into, join Inner Bliss Yoga on the mat. Both of their studios (Westlake and Rocky River) want you to feel the love when you arrive — and the fun, too! Find a class that suits you, choosing from an eclectic combination of heated and unheated classes including Slow Flow, Hot Powerful Flow, Chair Yoga, and Power Vinyasa.
After starting in Canton, Yoga Strong worked their way to Cleveland to open their second studio. Their new home on Prospect Ave. is in a beautiful space with heated floors and natural light, giving your class a grateful glow. This welcoming studio has both yoga and barre classes to pick between—which can be hard at times—giving you the option to work out some of your smaller, harder-to-reach muscles. If you want to catch some air with your Om, the studio also offers aerial yoga classes. Regardless of which class you pick, you can’t go wrong at Yoga Strong.
If you’re looking to find your flow in Chagrin Falls, Chagrin Yoga has you covered. With three studios under one roof, you’re now in charge of which studio you wanna practice in. Choose between the Luna, Root, and Sage studios (all eco-friendly) to enhance your yoga experience depending on your mood. You can also take a look at the list of classes on their website (featuring a video snippet of an actual class!), so you know exactly what you’re getting into.
Oasis Yoga + Wellness is kind of like your modern-day fitness studio for the avid yogi. Meaning there’s a variety of yoga classes that also incorporate TRX. This way, trainees can push themselves to new heights by trying new workouts (some might call this cross-training). Plus, the studio has an infrared sauna and therapeutic float tank that can help with any aches or pains you may have.
Strongsville’s Modern Yoga is not just here for a good time, they’re here to show off all the positive effects of yoga. To do so, they have a bunch of classes for members to dip their toes into, like Hot Power Yoga, Slow Flow Yoga, and a great mix of the two — Hot Slow Burn Yoga. In case you wanna see what Modern Yoga is all about, they have a Donation Power Yoga class every Friday at 6pm!
Citizen Yoga Studio made its home in the 80-acre Pinecrest shopping district in fall 2018, and people just can't get enough of the unique classes like their Sunrise Flow and Slow Burn. The airy, spacious studio frequently features workshops that combine their classes with an emphasis on wellness, like sleep improvement and meditation. They also offer wellness services such as cupping, massages, and Ayurveda. For local residents, your first class is free, so why wouldn't you want to try them out?
Elements Studios opened in Chesterland September 2018, introducing Cleveland yogis to a three-in-one studio concept (some may call them a triple threat). Members can climb on a Summit Power Towers during their half-hour booty burner classes, enjoy an energizing yoga class on their infrared heated floors, or even hit up one of their indoor cycling classes. No matter your vibe, you can change up your workouts without ever leaving the studio.
You can find Mystic Yoga in The beautiful MatchWorks Building in Mentor, where they’re creating a space for yoga, fitness, and holistic healing. This studio is for everyone, offering aerial silks classes as well as yoga for kids. Regardless of the class, their instructors are ready to help with your health journey.
