Yoga has truly taken off in Columbus. No matter what style of yoga you’re interested in, there’s a yoga studio nearby that’s a perfect fit for you. And we know some of the best ones.
Taking over the former Thank Yoga space in Short North, Heartfelt Yoga Studio claims to be “just some regular weirdos doing yoga”. Their lighthearted, purposeful classes are for everyone, too — from an all levels Vinyasa to a grounding fundamentals class and even discounted $5 sessions, you’re going to feel good mind, body, soul, and wallet.
Whether you’re just beginning your yoga practice or you’re looking to up the intensity of your current routine, CorePower Yoga is a great choice. For beginners, their classes are clearly defined by level to allow you to progress systematically as you improve your strength and balance. For you seasoned yogis, you can hop right into one of their higher-level classes — like "Hot Power Fusion". With room temps over 100° and some added humidity, this class is sure to challenge you.
Long a stronghold of yoga in the Clintonville neighborhood, GIVE Yoga, formerly Balance Yoga, now has a second spot in German Village. At GIVE, expert teachers offer a range of heated and unheated classes from vigorous Kundalini to “Easy Like Sunday Morning”. They’ll kick your butt and rock you to sleep at the same time. You can find children’s yoga and prenatal classes here as well.
In the heart of downtown, Seven Studios brings to life the inspiring values of fitness expert Julie Wilkes. This boutique studio caters to all levels, spicing it up with heated and fusion classes. Try out their signature heated class "YogaFlow7" or opt for a yoga/Pilates hybrid workout.
Nestled inside Shape Fitness, V Power is the epitome of power yoga in Columbus. Bring a towel and get ready to sweat! Classes are fast-paced and challenging. They combine cardio, strength training, and breath work to push your mind, body, and spirit equally. The V Power community is as warm as the room and open to yoga practitioners of any level.
Modo Yoga in Grandview Heights cares about a lot of things: being healthy, peace, the Earth, and karma. But like most of us, they care about community. When you attend one of these hot classes (we’re talking temperature and popularity), you’ll get support from their expert instructors, and a guaranteed smile from your sweaty yogi neighbor.
Need a break? Replenish is the perfect place to do just that. Offering rejuvenating classes that nourish the mind, body, and soul, this downtown oasis shares its space with a spa for the complete relaxation package. Loosen up and let those worries, woes, and fears melt away in Replenish's carriage house that serves as the space's studio with donation-based yoga and meditation classes offered daily.
Ready to get your sweat on? Saddle up because this place will make you sweat buckets. Known as the “yoga inferno”, Studio 543 is serious about their hot yoga. Step up, stretch out, take in the heat. We’ll clear this up now: though it probably feels like 543°, it’s actually closer to 99° in their signature hot Vinyasa classes.
Yoga on High is an OG Columbus yoga studio that, in addition to their Grandview Heights location, has moved their Short North studio around the corner to N. High St. The new space houses three rooms, meaning more classes throughout the day! And their unique class offerings provide yogis choice across the spectrum — they’ve got series classes for beginners, invigorating classes for the more athletic, restorative classes for those needing to relax, and specialty workshops like prenatal and aerial yoga for those with unique needs.
Just outside of downtown, in the heart of Bexley, lies this charming studio. Whether you’re looking for a powerful, sweat-inducing flow or some chill Yin yoga, Bluespot’s got what you need. Give their "Hot 26" class a try — 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises in a room heated to 105°. Fitt Tip: Beginners are encouraged to attend their "Level 1 - Basics" class where you can learn the foundations of a yoga practice in a lightly heated (80°) studio.
Burn, baby, burn! At the official Bikram studio located in Grandview, you can practice the 26 poses of the Bikram sequence with the heat cranked up. Expect a full 105° of delight to get those muscles warm and sweat pouring. Definitely don’t forget your towel and water! Fitt Tip: If you want to keep the heat up, check out the studio's heated Pilates classes.
Taylor Hunt brings his expertise to our community with his traditional Ashtanga shala. Here, type-A personalities will revel in the rigor and structure of the traditional practice. The majority of the classes are Mysore — meaning you control the flow and set your pace under the watchful eye of the instructors. But if you don’t know a downward dog from a regular dog, they also have a led option on Fridays. Fitt Tip: In traditional observance, this studio closes on full moon and new moon days. Be sure to check the lunar calendar before heading to a class.
YogaSix understands that while you may say “yoga is life”, life goes on before and after class. That’s why their Upper Arlington spot is ready to cater to you, opening the doors to their modern and accommodating studio ’round the clock. YogaSix offers classes as early as 6am and as late as 9pm most days. So leave the sweating for the mat in this heated studio, not the schedule.
GoYoga is a go-to for Columbus yogis who like a little variety in their practice. With studios across the Columbus-area, you can hit up any of their 150+ classes offered per week! And their intensity scale—from super chill to power flow—makes it equally easy to kick it into high gear or aim for restoration on days when you just can’t.
