What’s in the heart of downtown Columbus, filled with international food, and overflowing with specialty foods? This isn’t a riddle — it’s the North Market. Whether you’re at one of the many conventions next door, on your lunch break, or with a group that craves a little bit of everything, this is the spot to go.
And get ready to love it a little more because this foodie hot spot is stepping up its produce game by adding a grocer with a small name and a big game: Mini-Super.

The North Market is known as a launchpad for small businesses, and with the recently announced departure of Little Eater Produce and Provisions, there was a void in the space (and our hearts). Well, 20-year produce veteran Matthew Miner has stepped up to the plate and pitched Mini-Super. He’s a veteran with experience at Northwest Natural Foods and Whole Foods, to be exact. We have a strong feeling this guy knows what he’s doing and we dig his style: the goal for Mini-Super is simple — simply sell great food.
So, basically, it’s a fresh produce and gourmet grocery merchant? Short answer: yes. Long answer: it’s so much more. This startup is promising to feel like your favorite country farm stand, plus some urban grocer flair, PLUS health food store vibes.

Get your bread at Omega, cheese at Black Radish Creamery, fish at The Fish Guys, and, now, your everyday essentials (fresh produce, eggs, dairy products) at Mini-Super — getting this week’s meal supplies just got a whole lot easier. And maybe, just maybe, stop at Destination Donuts (or Jeni’s or Pistacia Vera because those places are just good for the soul.
Little Eater Produce and Provisions bowed out to focus on their other culinary adventures, and we’re not mad about it…. now, we just get an easy, convenient, and quality spot to that’ll allow us to fill our pantries and countertops with only the good stuff.
