  • ✨ What A Luxury

The resort-meets-gym experience is making its way to Frisco. That’s right — upscale health and fitness club Life Time is opening its next DFW location sometime this year close to Frisco Market Center. Get ready for a full range of fitness classes, cutting-edge amenities, a spa, on-site healthy cafe, and, at this location, a huge outdoor pool deck. And if Frisco is a little far out for you, they have a handful of other locations around the Dallas area, plus a Midtown gym is planned for 2022.

  • 🌱 No Meat, No Problem

West Plano is already home to dozens of awesome restaurants, but now, there’s a new healthy option for diners: Beyond Veggies Grill. The counter-serve eatery features a variety of delicious bowls, wraps, and tacos that you can customize according to your cravings. But unlike most other taco spots, Beyond Veggies offers a ton of plant-based options, including vegan chicken and beef and Beyond Burgers (naturally) — and we haven’t even gotten to their extensive list of sauces. Fitt Tip: always get the Comeback Sauce.

An entirely new concept is heading to the Trinity Groves marketplace in West Dallas. Introducing AvoEatery, a laid-back restaurant created by the brand Avocados From Mexico that places a special focus on—you guessed it—avocados. While there are still no details on an exact opening date, we recently got a sneak peek at the menu and It. Looks. Incredible. Expect everything from steak sandwiches and shrimp salad to hush puppies and burgers, all highlighting our favorite green fruit.

  • ⛰ Get A Grip

OSO Climbing Gyms, an indoor rock climbing, yoga, and fitness facility is headed to the Design District. Sure, it might earn bragging rights for being the newest rock climbing space in the city, but they’ll also be the largest, clocking in at a whopping 36,000 square feet. That’s not all, the fully-equipped gym will also feature an upscale coffee bar, hang out and work zone, plus showers and saunas that you can take advantage of post sweat. Keep an eye on their Instagram for opening day updates and details!

  • 🥤 Joy For Juice

If it feels like it’s been no time at all since Pressed Juicery finally made its way to Texas, you’re not imagining things. Now, just months after opening its first Dallas location in Uptown, followed quickly by a second in Southlake, the national juice chain is bringing more healthy goodness into DFW with a third location at WestBend in Fort Worth. We can't wait for even more cold-pressed juices, plant-based milks, and dairy-free Freezes (read: soft serve).

  • 🚲 New Year, New Location

SoulCycle may already be a household name and boast two Dallas locations, but that’s certainly not stopping them from making moves. The cycling chain is planning to open a handful of new studios in cities across the US in 2020 — among them, our North Texas neighbor, Plano. Opening dates and details are yet to be released, but keep a lookout on Instagram for updates.

  • 🇬🇷 Greek Eats

Opa! CAVA, a healthy Greek-inspired eatery, is opening its second DFW location in Uptown, and we couldn’t be more stoked. They’re already dishing out the goods in Plano, and we can't wait for their Mediterranean-inspired eats to be a little closer to the city. Even better, thanks to their build-your-own-bowl approach, you have the freedom to customize your meal with a selection of delicious bases, spreads, protein, and toppings. Keep an eye on their Instagram for updates and details!

And in Uptown, you can get your muscles burning at Pilates by Nature, which celebrated its grand opening on November 7, 2019. When you’re not sweating it out on the Reformer or TRX, you can enjoy kombucha, nitro cold brew on tap, and recovery in their cryotherapy tank or infrared sauna.
