For those in the know, Lemma Coffee Co. isn’t new. Since 2017, the Texas-born brand has been serving up specialty-brewed coffee and snacks out of their mobile coffee truck and even set up a stand on the campus of The University of Texas at Dallas earlier in 2019.
And lucky for Dallasites, the local concept is showing no signs of slowing down. ICYMI, Lemma Coffee Co. opened a brick-and-mortar location in Historic Downtown Carrollton on July 11, 2019, and you’re not gonna want to waste any time checking it out.
Featuring a sun-filled, minimally-decorated space and single-origin beans sourced from a number of different countries, including Kenya, Colombia, and Peru, Lemma’s new cafe is about to become your new favorite spot to grab a specialty brew or a healthy bite.
A full-service coffee house, they not only craft delicious drinks, they also roast their beans in-house, so you know you’re getting a truly fresh, handcrafted cup of joe every time. And while you can order your usual latte and cappuccino at Lemma, if you’re feeling adventurous, we highly suggest trying the Flash Brew, which is basically a more complex (and super flavorful) version of your typical cold brew and a guaranteed pick-me-up.
Lemma isn’t just roasting and brewing incredible coffee, though. They also offer some pretty spectacular food options made with high-quality ingredients that they make sure to source locally.
Stop by for all sorts of good-for-you small bites, like a parfait bowl made with organic yogurt, granola, and fruit, or the ever-popular avocado toast that comes complete with fresh lemon, salt and pepper, and tomatoes. (Pro tip: always add the fried egg). If you’re in need of something a bit more substantial, they whip up a vegan sandwich made entirely from scratch and stuff it with portobello slices marinated in a homemade balsamic mustard dressing, Roma tomatoes, red onion, spinach, and a creamy almond tahini spread.
Even better, their bread is sourced locally from Village Baking Co. And for all you gluten-free folks out there, Lemma hasn’t forgotten about you. They also offer gluten-free rolls from the Local Oven, so you don’t have to miss out on all of these delectable eats.
In case you weren’t already convinced to swing by Lemma Coffee Co.’s new location, the S. Broadway Street spot features comfy chairs, A/C, and Wi-Fi. If you want to recreate the Lemma experience at home, they also sell wholesale beans, so you can get your fix anytime the mood strikes. Sounds like an all-around win to us!
