Since its opening in 2013, The Source has been a hotbed of creative local vendors. From butchers to bakers and artists to apparel makers, the modern marketplace bolsters the trades with good food, craft booze, and strong coffee.
Over the years, this industrial-chic space in RiNo has grown and evolved in response to the demands of its visitors and surrounding neighborhood. And with a change to the lineup of vendors, it might be time for another visit.
New or old, you know we have to give a shoutout to the healthy (or healthier) stops at The Source. Destinations like Acorn and Safta use the freshest locally-sourced and seasonal ingredients in crafting their creative plates. And Caffè Figurati, a concept coffee shop and roaster from Jason Farrar, the brains behind Commonwealth Coffee.
There’s already a lot of ground to cover, with two market halls stretching 45,000 square feet of space, but The Source will keep you moving in other ways, too. They host a regular schedule of fun and fit collabs, like rooftop workouts and yoga. Keep an eye on their events calendar (or ours!) for the scoop.
In addition to its shops and restaurants, The Source opened a boutique hotel that caters to the wellness-minded, with a fully-loaded fitness center, rooftop plunge pools, and loads of natural light. Not just for tourists, the hotel has even become a popular spot for a date night splurge among Denverites.
The newest spot to join the crew of local creatives is Isabel. Named for Isabel Nesmith Evans, president of the Colorado Iron Works, the company that built and operated the 19th century foundry where The Source now stands, Isabel serves up juice, smoothies, and wellness shots, plus recovery and hydration kits — all made with the freshest produce and herbs they can find.
The best part? Isabel is a juice bar and a real bar. That’s right — they use those healthy daytime sips as mixers in their colorful craft cocktails. So, whether you’re looking for a healthier happy hour or just an excuse to day drink, Isabel has got your back.
Just like the seasons, and the other eateries on site, Isabel’s offerings will change to reflect the flavors of the farm and the mood of Mother Nature. That’s the way we like it. Just another reason to keep coming back to The Source for more.
