Detroit is growing, and with it, the number of juice bars around town. Why is that good news? It means your daily routine just got way healthier.

Naturally, we are dishing out all the best spots to step up your juice game. Whether you love a cold-pressed juice or a thick and creamy smoothie, the Detroit Metro has got you covered.

Make your weekend trips to Eastern Market even healthier with a stop at Beyond. We know it’s almost food overload down there (and that pizza smell!), but once you step into Beyond Juice, you won’t regret it. The staff is ultra-friendly and their Detroit pride game is strong — you will most likely see more than one Tigers hat. Thirsty yet? Get your green smoothie kick with The Boss — cucumber, avocado, spinach, kale, banana, apple, and PB. Or keep it fresh a Citrus Circuit juice with packed with—you guessed it—citrus fruits!

DROUGHT

Restaurant

It’s refreshing just walking into this place. With multiple locations in the Detroit area, consider DROUGHT juice central not matter where you are in the city. Here, fridges full of organic, raw, cold-pressed juice line the wall with reds, blues, and greens. And if you are a morning juicer, the Cacao Cold Brew Shake is a real winner; it’s packed with energizing ingredients like chia seeds, hemp seeds, and organic oats, and is perfect for early-morning fuel or a midday pick-me-up.

Urge Juice

Restaurant

Just up Woodward Ave. in Berkley, this little shop is BIG on their juice. If the wooden tables and benches weren’t cute enough, they have an entire chalkboard wall that is more inspiring than your Instagram feed. If you’re into elixirs (love that word), get the adventurous Pear on Fire — pear, lemon, aloe, maca, and cayenne. Another must-try is the Coffee Turmeric smoothie: A true game-changer, get ready for cold brew coffee, banana, almond milk, raw oats, turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon. Fitt Tip: Urge Juice has a full toast menu, and yes, avocado toast is included and it is bomb.

We are loving the grassroots boho vibes at Cacao Tree Cafe up in Royal Oak. You should know that this place is a smoothie superfood heaven, and not your everyday basic joint. They are big into sustainability and make a point to incorporate local ingredients into their juices. Local bee pollen tops their best-selling Bee Green smoothie — drink up mango, spinach, apple juice, spirulina, chlorella, local raw honey, and bee pollen. Though, if you are looking for a post-workout boost, try the Protein Fuel — this one has tons of almond butter and still some room for kale. FYI: You can also build your own smoothie.

Give yourself some extra time for this one; the juice and smoothie menu is huge. We’re talking every superfood combo you can imagine — maca, chlorella, spirulina, and hemp (and some we may not be able to pronounce). But hey, more of a reason to keep going back! Our Fitt fave is the avocado smoothie, the creamiest smoothie in the game. As a bonus, the café here is part of the bigger wellness center offering multiple interdisciplinary services.

Cafe Succo

Restaurant

Hello and welcome to acai bowl heaven. Cafe Succo really knows their acai bowls! We’re into their “Energize” bowl and “Incredible” protein-packed smoothie. Organic, raw, vegan and GF — their cold-pressed juice is worth writing home about. Want the full effect? Ask about their Vitathlete Detox (with multi-day options). The patio seating is sprawling and spacious too, so bring your friends, grab a bowl, a cold-pressed juice, and discover Birmingham’s finest.

Have you ever seen a juice bar with tree branches hanging from the ceiling? We have. It’s Naked Fuel, and totally is #PlantGoals to the max. Naked Fuel, in West Bloomfield, is owned and run by a local mother-daughter duo; you truly feel the comfort and hospitality during every visit. Tingle your smoothie taste buds with the Leaping Lizard vanilla bone broth smoothie (Google it — we won’t judge). Or if you’re feeling like a boost, grab the antioxidant-packed Matcha Mango. Feel good now? You certainly will.

Fresh101 is spreading superfood love in Detroit with their selection of juices, bowls, and cleanses made with 100% organic and all-natural fruits and vegetables. And they’re on a mission to make sure everyone has access to and knows about the important health benefits of that come from eating unprocessed foods. That’s why they host wellness workshops and smoothie and juice bar events aimed at doing just that. Find yourself in Midtown? Pop in, grab a Rockstar juice, and get ready to crush your day.

Don’t let the fact that this Midtown Detroit juice spot is set up in the back of Marcus Market deter you from making the trip past the bread aisle. Juice Joint Detroit serves up craveable juice and smoothie concoctions that make it easy to get in your daily dose of fruits and veggies. Order up The Boss smoothie made with matcha, avocado, spinach, mango, banana, almond milk, and agave and take on your workweek like, well… a boss.

If you frequent Campus Martius Park or CrossFit in the D often, you’ll have noticed Juice & Fuel on Michigan Ave. by now. The modern juice shop is all about lifestyle, and will tempt you with ‘Juice Cures’—like concoctions made especially for headaches or fatigue—and also wow you with grab & go options like acai bowls, protein smoothies, and even some insanely delicious full-meal prepping. Try to say no to the Paleo Turkey Meatballs with spicy green beans.

Occupying a quaint storefront in Grosse Pointe, J House Juice has what you need for your next juice fix. Their juices are 100% raw and unpasteurized and have no added sugars, preservatives, or water. Our favorite? A.P.S.D (aka Aches, Pains, and Sinus Drains) — with pineapple, celery, and a generous kick of cayenne pepper, it’s the simple, yet effective, jolt you need when you’re in a fog.
