If you’re one of those people who can’t make it through the day without at least one (or five — hey, we’re not judging here) quality cup of joe, it’s your lucky day.
The owners of Detroit Barbers recently put the finishing touches on their brand new coffee shop, opening up Lucky Detroit above their Corktown location.
While The Motor City’s latest addition is set up on the second floor, you’ll have no trouble finding them. Just make your way to Michigan Ave. and let the aroma of roasting beans guide you to your destination.
And once you make it there, you’ll be able to the hustle and bustle of city life as you relax and enjoy one of their exotic pour-over coffees or a unique espresso drink. Seriously, if there’s one thing Lucky Detroit has on lock, it’s speciality coffee and laid-back vibes. Fitt Tip: make sure you try the Vanilla Bourbon Latte everyone’s been raving about!
If all that didn’t get your attention, then the decor will. This place is anything but ordinary, so you can forget white walls or cheesy inspirational sayings. Like the barbershop downstairs, expect kickass antiques and an an old-school atmosphere. Think American Old West meets finely-crafted style. From the salvaged countertop to the giant moose head on the wall, one thing’s for sure: you won’t find a more unique java joint in the city.
Next time you find yourself in Corktown and are feeling low on energy, be sure to stop in and check out the new digs on the second floor of 2000 Michigan Ave. They’re open from 10am-8pm during the week and 10am-5pm on the weekends. Trust us — you’ll be glad you did.
