  • 🦑 Kaimuki Grindz

Hawaiian food in East Honolulu just got a whole lot better with the addition of Oahu Grill in Kaimuki. Owner and head chef Johnny got his start working at Waihole Poi Factory, so it goes without saying that he really knows his stuff. Plus, their recent wholesome menu moves (no added sugar in their popular Squid Lu‘au, and a dedication to highlighting locally-sourced ingredients) makes this spot a win for your 2020 healthy-eating goals.

  • 🛎️ Zen On The Pineapple Isle

Our very first health and wellness-focused retreat just opened on Lanai Island — and it definitely takes self-care to a new level. Ever wondered what it would be like if your hotel room came with its very own sensei? Before guests arrive at Four Seasons Hotel Lanai at Koele, A Sensei Retreat, they’re paired with a personal “sensei” guide who tailors spa treatments, fitness classes, yoga, and meditation (this place has it all) to the guest’s unique health and wellness needs. Where do we sign up?

Champions of breakfast, Egghead Cafe recently opened its second location at the Kapalama Shopping Center in town with an expanded menu. The new spot will keep some Kailua favorites, such as the toasts, salads, and acai bowls, but it will also offer a wider selection of benedicts (like the Smoky Salmon) and omelettes (like the Veggietopia with fried tofu and sweet miso).

Can’t wait until for their Haleiwa doors to open? Stop by their shops in Kailua and South Shore Market for a fresh juice following your workout, or pick up a panini before your next beach day up north.
