We love a greasy slice of pizza as much as the next person, but we're hear to tell you that healthy 'za is a thing — and it's headed to Houston very soon.
But don’t expect cauliflower crust and plant-based cheese on this pie. Prepare yourself for a nori crust topped with rice and raw fish (and we’re not talking anchovies). Hang on to your hats — Poke Burri, the Atlanta-based poke bowl restaurant chain and social media sensation, is planning to open its first HTX location.
In a city that is hankering for healthy-casual options, a delicious Asian eatery serving up fresh food is bound to fit in. And Poke Burri is ready to deliver just that when they hit the scene in Texas.
Known for a health-conscious menu that slings poke bowls and transforms giant sushi rolls into burritos, Poke Burri has found social media fame for pushing boundaries with their colorful take on donuts, nachos, and pizza slices that are made with incredible, anything-but-ordinary ingredients.
Take a scroll through their Instagram, it’s hard not to start drooling over the tuna-topped donut, the bowls bursting with rice, fish, toppings like kimchee, and other inventive creations (like their crab and tempura "corn dog"). If you’re really looking to splurge, top off your order with tempura flakes and fried shallots. Even with the little extravagances, this dish makes for an amazing guilt-free lunch option.
When and where Poke Burri's Space City digs will land is still being kept hush hush. But when it does, we'll be waiting with open arms and an hefty appetite.
