Dinner at the tube station may sound like the stuff of nightmares, but if you find yourself passing through Fulham Broadway, it’s a must. That’s because next door to the station sits Market Hall Fulham — a food mecca that’s home to seven kitchens, two bars, and a coffee shop serving up everything you could possibly want to eat and drink.
But it’s not just about food here. Market Hall Fulham is also home to the epic fitness studio MOVE, which means you can get your sweat on and grab a pre- or post-workout bite without ever leaving the building. Sound like your kind of place? Here’s everything you need to know about the South West London spot.
Step inside Market Hall Fulham and you’ll notice two things. First, there’s no missing the fact that it’s based in the old ticket hall of Fulham Broadway Station. Original features like a ‘To The Trains’ sign and the Edwardian ticket offices add a touch of charm while the open concept setup and towering glass ceiling pay homage to the building’s beginnings.
Then there’s its sheer size. With 250 seats, a deli, a bar on the main level featuring British-made brews and spirits, and a publicly-accessible rooftop, this decked-out food hall means business. But let’s get to what you came here for — the food. At Market Hall Fulham, there’s literally something for everyone.
Open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you can take your pick from healthy food spots like Ahi Poké, healthy fast casual Fanny’s Kebabs, and plant-based eatery Kalifornia Kitchen, or indulge in high-quality fast food from chicken shop Butchies (they only serve slow-reared, free-range chicken). You can also treat yourself to a taste of Texan barbecue at Hot Box or dig into a handmade pizza from Made of Dough (they’ve got vegetarian and vegan options, too).
Got a sweet tooth? Try one of Love Churro’s oh-so-good golden churros dipped in melted chocolate — it’s entirely vegan.
And if you’re looking for a caffeine hit, Press Coffee has you covered. But don’t even think about getting your food to go. Instead, chow down in the central dining space or head up to the exclusive roof terrace and grab a drink from the High Bar while taking in the London skyline.
The open-air terrace isn’t the only reason to go above the market hall, though. Head up to the first floor and you’ll find the in-house fitness studio, MOVE.
Offering eight different training methods and classes taught by the best of the best in fitness, MOVE is all about getting you to work your body the way nature intended. That means ditching fancy treadmills and instead, getting your heart rate up in workouts like Primal Fit, Dynamic Pilates, and Power Yoga.
It’s not just the classes that make a trip to MOVE worthwhile — the space itself is beautiful, too. It’s light, spacious, and 100% Instagrammable. And with sessions starting as early as 6:20am and running through the evening, you can easily make a day out of a trip to Market Hall Fulham.
But if you’re nowhere near Fulham and don’t fancy schlepping across town for your Market Hall fix, you can check out Market Hall Victoria. It’s got a whopping three floors of delicious street food vendors. You'll also want to keep your eyes peeled for Market Hall West End — it opens near Oxford Circus this summer and is set to become the UK’s largest food hall ever!
