Drumroll, please! After years of whispers and rumblings, we can confirm that it’s finally happening. Legendary cycling studio SoulCycle is arriving in London this June.
Based at Great Marlborough Street in Soho, this expansion is a huge deal because it marks the first SoulCycle site in the UK (and outside North America). And with stiff competition from home-grown spin studios like Psycle, Boom Cycle, and 1Rebel, the US brand is ready to show us Brits exactly why it’s the OG of indoor cycling.
So what can you expect?
How does 60 bikes spread across multiple levels, live concerts, and exclusive events sound? And that’s just for starters. There’s also a studio store where you can stock up on official Soul by SoulCycle merch. But we've only scratched the surface of the full SoulCycle experience — because unlike other indoor cycling classes, this ride isn’t just physical, it’s also spiritual.
At SoulCycle, three things matter — the ride, the instructors, and the community. Together, they create the unique and immersive cycling experience that this fitness powerhouse has become famous for.
Expect 45 minutes of bass-heavy beats and rhythm-based choreography in a room that’s low lit with candles to get you straight into the zone. Making sure you stay in a performance-driven headspace are top-notch instructors (and SoulCycle only recruits the very best) who will motivate and challenge you to sweat out your stress and ride harder than you ever thought possible.
And because community lies at the heart of SoulCycle, no rider is left behind. The whole room rides as a team, cheering each other on and creating an energy that’s so electric, you’ll forget you’re pushing your muscles to the max… at least until the thigh burn kicks in.
There are, of course, two more things the indoor cycling giant is known for — classes that book out in record time and a HUGE celebrity following. This means you’ll need to secure your bike early, embrace the idea of a waitlist, and remember to play it cool if you happen to snag a seat next to Madonna or Victoria Beckham.
Oh, and if Soho’s a little out of the way for you, don’t worry. The team at SoulCycle HQ say that more studios will be opening across the capital very soon.
