Chances are good you’ve heard of Natoora. The UK-based company has been making an impact for over a decade, sourcing seasonal and heritage produce varieties, setting up produce shops in several London neighbourhoods, and establishing meaningful partnerships with local growers and national companies (like Wholefoods). And now, they’re embarking on a new venture, opening their first cafe in Notting Hill.

A TASTE OF THE SEASONS

The recently opened concept, Natoora Counter, has a simple name and a simple goal: serve easily traceable meals and snacks in a straightforward, modern environment that reflects the food itself. Think simple shelves stocked with vibrantly-coloured seasonal produce, bowls filled with nuts and other dry goods and handpicked wares, including ceramics from Brooklyn-based artist Fernando Aciar.

While we think that’s reason enough to check out the new spot, here’s another. Aside from selling individual items, Natoora Counter also serves breakfast, lunch, and coffee, all of which is made in-house, from scratch. And, no surprise here, their daily-rotating menu highlights fresh, in-season produce and tasty, health-conscious dishes that don’t skimp on flavor. For the summer, you can expect selections like grilled zucchini on a bed of quinoa made with local ingredients that are grown and harvested in nearby Essex.

Rather enjoy your meal at home? Take-away is available in 100% recycled containers. Even better, you can purchase the same ingredients they use at the cafe to craft your own unique dishes whenever you like.

Natoora Counter isn’t just a great summer go-to, though. Stopping by the charming cafe on Elgin Crescent is a good idea any time of the year because delicious food is always in season.
