Dog owners of LA, it's your lucky day because Sugar Taco, a plant-based Mexican restaurant coming to West Hollywood, is taking dog-friendly to new levels. Say hello to meat-free tacos for both people and pups.

This woman-owned, Earth-friendly eatery is dedicated to filling plates with authentic, Latin-inspired flavors sans animal products. On the menu, you’ll find a delicious selection of build-your-own burritos, tacos, nachos, street corn, churros, and popsicles made with local, organic ingredients sourced from area farmers.

If you’re feeling spicy, check out the Ghost Taco, a black tortilla stuffed with their house-made Pollo Diablo recipe and topped with diced ghost peppers. But if an extra kick isn’t your thing, they’ll also have vegan versions of all your classic taco fillings — carnitas, barbacoa, carne asada, and more.

And what’s a taco without a fun drink to go along with it? Not to worry, Sugar Taco has that figured out, too. Whet your palate with everything from spicy margaritas and Kahlua lattes to hibiscus ice tea and rum-spiked horchata. Just don’t expect to see any plastic straws laying around anywhere, they're commitment to the environment doesn't stop with their plant-based handhelds.

As for the dog menu, the details are still unclear. But what we do know is 100% of the profits from these pet-friendly dishes will be donated to animal rescue organizations, with proceeds going to a different organization each month. So, you can splurge on your pup while helping out other furry friends in need at the same time.

As for the aesthetic, Sugar Taco is going all in with Día De Los Muertos meets Hollywood-chic vibes. Think, bright pink walls, colorful plates, and decorated skull paintings (even the bathroom walls look like a picturesque mural). Of course, there will also be a dog-friendly patio complete with twinkly lights.

But here’s where the Hollywood part comes in: Daniella Monet, actress, social media star, and vegan activist, is part of the team backing the restaurant. So don’t be surprised if this spot becomes a hotbed for social media influencers taking selfies as they nosh on tortillas. (You can’t say we didn’t warn you!)

The best part of it all: for every meal Sugar Taco serves, either a tree is planted through 8 Billion Trees or a vegan meal is donated to a child in need through the non-profit Food for Life Global. Now, you’ve got an excuse to eat tacos every day of the week (not that you needed one).

While the opening date is still TBD, be sure to follow Sugar Taco on social media for updates and sneak peeks of what they’re cookin’ up.
