We already know Hollywood is home to the stars but, ICYMI, the area also recently became home to the stars’ favorite gym.
Hailing from the streets of New York City, the DOGPOUND is a premier training facility that has seen the likes of Adam Levine, Taylor Swift, Karlie Kloss, and many other notable figures sweat it out inside its four walls. And now, they’ve made their way to LA, opening a second location on the Best Coast.
If the thought of getting whipped into shape next to an A-list celebrity strikes your interest, then dig out your trendiest workout gear and head over to this West Hollywood gym for a muscle-burning class you won’t soon forget.
Not for the average gym-goer, the DOGPOUND has only what you need, and nothing you don’t. Which is why you’ll notice the absence of treadmills or other fancy equipment, as this stripped-down, functional fitness-focused sweat spot uses resistance bands, weights, and your own bodyweight to challenge and test your body. It’s this no-frills approach that allows the DOGPOUND to puts members’ fitness at the forefront.
You won’t be expected to go it alone here, though, so no worries if you’re still getting the hang of those battle ropes. This spot is all about creating a no-judgment environment and giving its members the tools they need to succeed. Their expert trainers will work with you one-on-one to help you achieve your health and fitness goals, just as founder Kirk Myers has helped his clients get into the best shape of their lives.
The group of instructors selected is no accident, either. They’re all influential fitness professionals who will customize your workout to your wants and needs, all while maintaining a welcoming and inspiring atmosphere that will make you want to come back week after week.
The DOGPOUND arrived in LA with the intention of bringing NYC with them, both in spirit and design. Imagine you turned your garage into a premier 5,500-square-foot facility, and that’s exactly what you can expect at this hardcore gym.
It’s designed to be straightforward and glamorous all at the same, so you’ll encounter garage doors, high ceilings, and a rotating selection of art on the walls. They even have plans to transform the parking lot and driveway into an outdoor oasis featuring black turf, graffiti, and a basketball court. Don’t worry Angelenos — they’ll have valet.
Even as competitive as the LA fitness scene is, it’s not everywhere that you can flip tires next to a Victoria’s Secret model or your favorite actress. So lace up your sneakers and prepare to dig deep — we’ll meet you at the DOGPOUND.
