  • 🏖 A Pedestrian Connection

Like most Miamians, we’re fans of the outdoors. So, we’re excited to share that the third phase of the Middle Beach Beachwalk is underway. You’ll have to wait about a year and a half until the project is complete, but once the last bit of concrete is laid, you’ll be able to run, walk, or bike along the oceanfront from South to North Beach without giving a thought to the traffic. We’re here for it.

  • 💦 Expanding The Sweat Squad

For all you HIIT and bootcamp fans out there, we’re happy to report that Sweat440’s Coral Gables gym is officially open! Not for the faint of heart, this functional fitness concept’s signature 40-minute workout will test your limits in a series of circuit training strength exercises that integrate kettlebells, battle ropes, TRX, and more. You might leave drenched in sweat, but you’ll be better off for it. Live in Doral? They’re coming for you soon.

  • 🌱 Anotha Planta

Spread the news, gang — local plant-based restaurant Planta is opening a second location in CocoWalk. But don’t expect a menu of burgers, pizzas, and cauliflower tots at this new location. They’re going a whole new direction, instead, crafting a selection Asian-inspired eats (all still vegan!) with an interior design to match. Doors are slated to open in spring 2020, but best to keep an eye on their Instagram for updates.

  • 🤘 Rock Your Ride

Boutique cycling studio CycleBar has decided that four locations in Miami just isn’t enough — and we couldn’t agree more! That’s why we’re thrilled that they just opened up a fifth in West Kendall. And get this: there’s another planned for Pinecrest. So, grab your cycling shoes, Fitt fam — it’s time to get in the saddle and start loggin’ some serious CycleStats. Fitt Tip: check the schedule next time you’re planning on heading in for a class; the themed rides have been fire lately.

  • 🧀 Cheese-filled Treats

We love empanadas as much as the next person, but the latest menu addition at healthy eatery Lilikoi Organic Living just blew our minds. Introducing the Vegan Gouda Cheese empanada, courtesy of De Nada Empanadas. With a perfectly crispy, crunchy crust and smoky, plant-based cheese filling, we don’t blame you if this becomes your new go-to for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

  • 💦 New Digs, Same Sweat

If you’re on the search for a hardcore sweat, look no further than CykleJab. The local gym combines a nightclub-like atmosphere with a HIIT-based workout featuring boxing, cycling, and strength training. Even better, they recently moved to a larger space in Miami Shores, giving you more room to work on your uppercut and throw around some kettlebells.

  • ✊ A Total Knockout

Grab your boxing gloves, gang — Brickell’s high-intensity kickboxing concept, CKO Kickboxing, is doubling its Miami presence. The boutique studio is making its way to Pembroke Pines, opening its second area location sometime in 2020. While exact details are still TBD, you can expect the same strength and conditioning workouts that have made them a local hit. See you at the heavy bag!

  • 💙 Join The Club

With locations all over Miami, second-to-none workouts, and a welcoming atmosphere, there’s a reason Club Pilates boasts a solid reputation in The Magic City. That’s why we’re excited to announce they’ve officially opened their latest location in Coral Gables. The boutique Pilates concept celebrated the grand opening at the end of November 2019, introducing the neighborhood to their Reformer-based Pilates classes and blue-hued studios.

  • 🍪 Good Eats, All Day

The Dr Smood family just gained another member. That’s right — after planting its flag in five Miami neighborhoods, the healthy eatery has again expanded, this time to Coral Gables. You won’t have to wait to check out the bright new spot, either. They are officially open. And while their Cashew Crunch Kale salad might be on your mind, let us remind you that they recently debuted vegan and gluten-free cookies and loaves of bread. Fitt Tip: the Pistachio Cardamom Loaf is amazing.

  • 🎶 The Future Of Fitness

You already know local gym Anatomy for its high-energy group classes, recovery services, and second-to-none community. But now, they’re taking things to the next level with the launch of a new fitness concept called Blackout. Housed on the second floor of their Midtown location, you can expect a boutique experience featuring a dimly-lit room, bumpin’ beats, and HIIT-focused workouts centered around the SkiErg, rower, and FITBENCH. Oh, and did we mention a membership to either of their two gyms gets you in?

  • 🍕 A Plant-Based Takeover

It feels like we blinked and Miami transformed into a vegan paradise, and—no surprise here—the latest concepts are flocking to Wynwood. Not only is the area home to the city’s first dairy-free scoop shop, but it also boasts Mora Pizza, a local spot that’s slinging plant-based ’za you won’t find anywhere else. We’re talking pies topped with everything from sushi and cilantro to pasta, tater tots, and waffles. Yum!

  • 🚲 Energy Boost

A new studio has landed in Miami, and it’s bringing all the energy. Yep — boutique cycling chain Zenergy opened its doors in November 2019 in Aventura. You might know the name from their first Florida location in Boca Raton. But for those not familiar with the concept, you can expect an upbeat cycle sesh complete with hand weights and a kick-ass playlist. Swing by the studio and clip into those brand new bikes.
