From Miami Beach to Coral Gables, Wynwood, and Aventura, there are bright and welcoming juice bars whipping up delightful, sippable creations all across town. And here are the best spots to hit up no matter where in the city you find yourself.
Raw Republic is one of Miami’s first homegrown juice bars. Opened in 2015, this shop slings cold-pressed drinks and superfood-packed smoothies created using locally-sourced ingredients. Plus, the family-owned operation, which runs locations in Aventura and North Miami, makes some of the best acai and pitaya bowls you’ll ever taste. We’re talking peanut butter, banana, and acai blends topped with granola and cacao nibs; and the Coconut Grove, which combines coconut, blueberry, and honey. It doesn’t hurt that this concoction is also named after one of our favorite neighborhoods.
Three words: vegan ice cream. Set up in Aventura, this Southern California-based juice bar has made a splash in Miami by offering a lineup of fresh-squeezed juices, fruity smoothies, and healthy frozen treats. Pair your tasty The Sublime drink (lime, orange, parsley, kale, spinach, cucumber) with a creamy, cashew-based vanilla or chocolate Skoop, (what they call their signature sweet) which is made in-house daily without dairy or soy. Oh, and don’t forget toppings like vegan chocolate chips and coconut flakes.
Local, organic, cold-pressed juices are the name of the game at Raw Juce, a South Florida-based chain with locations all over the city. Here, uncooked and unprocessed foods—like whole fruits, vegetables, and nuts—are transformed into drool-worthy sips packed with flavor and nutrients. In need of a caffeine kick? Try one of their organic cold brew raw-puccinos like their vanilla bean protein made with blended dates, protein powder, vanilla and garnished with cacao honey drizzle and cacao nibs. And while you’re at it, snag a Greenergy juice for later.
Unlike more traditional juice bars, Dr Smood—which operates locations across Miami-Dade County—channels a coffee shop vibe with large and open seating areas, communal tables, and free Wi-Fi (laptops are encouraged!). But inside, you’ll find a menu stocked with nutrient-dense juices, smoothies, and healthy snacks. The True Green with MCT oil is a must, made with cucumber, celery, spinach, lemon, chard, parsley, dandelion, and cilantro. And, it conveniently pairs nicely with their espresso brownie bites, a crunchy combination of cacao, dates, honey, and Brazilian nut meal. Fitt Tip: you can add an organic booster to any drink and the Spirulina-Ginger is never a bad move.
This beachy, surf-inspired spot in South Beach, Edgewater, and UM Coral Gables is all about Florida-grown ingredients. Here, juices and smoothies incorporate locally-sourced fruits and vegetables whenever available, which is the key to their super fresh taste. Can’t decide what to order? The Welcome to Miami made with passionfruit, banana, mango, and honey is your go-to. But if you want to take things up a notch, order the Miami Mocha, which adds a shot of espresso and a scoop of chocolate protein into a blend of banana, almond milk, and dates.
Sure, this trendy spot in the middle of downtown may be known for whipping up a to-die-for healthy food menu, but what you may not know is that they also know a thing or two about juice. But they keep things simple, pairing everyday fruits and vegetables and blending them to perfection. Trust us — the result is heavenly. Order up the Super Juice and kick back with a jar of blended pineapple, green apple, kale, ginger, and celery that’ll leave you feeling refreshed and energized.
Chris Kingen, a celebrity bodyguard turned juice bar entrepreneur, is behind one of Miami’s best health food havens: Wellness Grub. After years on the road with musicians like Dr. Dre and Lisa Marie Presley, Chris mastered the art of quick and delicious smoothie-making. By March 2015, he debuted Wellness Grub in Chicago, and a few months later, decided to open in Miami. Set up inside Aventura, Brickell, Coral Gables, and South Beach Equinox gyms, their organic, raw food creations really hit the spot post sweat.
We love a lot of things about MyRoots Juice Bar. Not only are all the fresh-made smoothies and cold-pressed juices at this Kendall and Doral eatery priced below $10, but most of them also sport pretty funky names. Take their Got The Beet juice, for instance, a beet, carrot, lemon, and apple sip that’s as tasty as it is good for you. Or their Bloody Berry smoothie, made with raspberry, beet, banana, maca, and almond milk. And if you need a little extra boost, grab and Well & Good health shot for the road.
It’s only fitting that this Miami Beach juice bar is known for one of the best mango smoothies in town, their name is Under the Mango Tree after all. If you’re stopping by the spot for the first time, you have to order the Mango Tree (of course), a mixture of mango, strawberry, apple, and agave. If you’re hungry, don’t miss the chocolate acai bowl, topped with cacao, agave, cinnamon, and coconut — it’s a guilt-free way to satisfy that sweet tooth.
Whether you’re in Aventura, Sunny Isles, or South Beach, make it a point to visit Juice & Java. As one of the only juice bars to double as a full-service restaurant, this is your go-to place to relax with a green juice and dig into a pita pizza, topped with olives, tomatoes, avocado, jack cheese, and feta. And don’t worry if you’ve got some gluten-free or vegan-eaters in your crew — they’ve got options.
In Coconut Grove (with locations in Brickell and Aventura opening soon), Juicense offers a unique line of juices, smoothies, and nut milks specifically-crafted to help heal, restore, or give you that extra pep in your step. If you’re feeling sick, try the Defenses Up, fused with orange, grapefruit, lemon, and echinacea. For a quick refresh, go for the Black Magic, made with lemon, honey, and activated charcoal. We also love the Matcha Latte Nutmilk, which incorporates green tea for taste, coconut water for hydration, and sea salt for an added oomph. The best part? They pack up to five pounds of fresh fruits and veggies into every bottle.
Nestled in the Dupont Building downtown, this charming cafe is the perfect place to pop into for a healthy re-up when you’re on the go. Because alongside their menu of bowls, soups, and snacks is a selection of pre-bottled, cold-pressed juices that you won’t hesitate to stock up on. When the Miami heat is at its peak, pick up a Hibiscus Chia Fresca infused with hibiscus flower tea, lime, ginger, dark chia seeds, and agave. And if you’ve got something more filling on the mind, there also offer a slew of top-notch smoothies, all crafted with house-made cashew mylk and organic produce.
This Denmark-based powerhouse has staked its claim in Miami, and we couldn’t be happier about it. Not only do they serve up some mean juices (like the Herb Tonic with turmeric, ginger, pineapple, red bell pepper, black pepper, and apple) but they’re touting some pretty chill vibes to go along with it. Stop by any one of their handful of local storefronts and you’ll find an expertly-designed shop (read: modern and trendy) and a carefully-curated Spotify playlist that you can access even after you’ve left the store.
A bright and airy downtown destination, Ten Fruits has the juice and smoothie game on lock. Stop by and pick among a selection of super smoothies, protein super smoothies, fruity smoothies, and fresh-pressed juices. We know, it’s a lot to take in, but trust us — there are no bad decisions to be made here. But in case you’re looking for a recommendation, we’ve got you. The Oracle Juice made with watermelon, pineapple, apple, and ginger is simple, sweet, and satisfying while the Almond Way blend is a filling, guilt-free indulgence packing a decent dose of protein. Oh, and they also offer juice cleanses for when you need to kick start your week on a healthy note.
