Nashville’s one-stop shop for plant-based eats, AVO, is dishing out new menu items just in time for Veganuary. But the one we especially have our eye on is the Wild Nashville Salad made with hydroponic lettuce, tarragon, cucumber, red potatoes, kalamata olives, and two heaping scoops of “tuna”. If you need us, you know where we’ll be.
Need some incentive to stick with those new year fitness goals? Hot Yoga of East Nashville has your back. The popular studio offers free classes all day every Wednesday from 6am to 9pm, and any donations collected benefit the Martha O’Bryan Center. We know — pretty awesome. It’s no secret that Nashville’s coffee scene is fire, but two of our favorite shops have really outdone themselves. If you’re in the mood for a tangy, fermented beverage, stop by Wedgewood-Houston’s Falcon Coffee Bar, they’re now serving (locally-made!) Walker Brothers craft kombucha by the can. If you’re on the east side of town, quench your thirst at Kettner Coffee Supply. New to the menu are turmeric and beetroot lattes.
Grab your cycling shoes and clip in at Cycle Haüs, a new studio that’s now open on the East side. Sure, you can expect rhythm-based rides complete with all the tapbacks, push-ups, and choreography you can handle. But this unique cycling studio also has more traditional, stats-driven classes that will have you climbing hills, racing flats, and getting in those muscles-burning sprints the good ol’ fashioned way — with a lot of heavy resistance.

Opa! CAVA, a fast-casual Greek eatery, is opening its doors in Green Hills, and we couldn’t be more stoked. They’re already dishing out the goods in a handful of cities across the nation, and we can't wait to taste test their mouth-watering Mediterranean-inspired eats for ourselves. Even better, thanks to their build-your-own-bowl approach, you have the freedom to customize your plate with a selection of bases, spreads, protein, and toppings. Keep an eye on their Instagram for updates and details!
