With everything from barre, boxing, HIIT bootcamps, cycling, and Pilates, it’s becoming harder and harder to come up with an excuse to not exercise. So grab your best pal and workout buddy and take your pick of the best gyms in the Music City!

Focused on tucking, burning, squatting, and pulsing, Pure Barre instructors make sure you feel it. With multiple locations in Nashville, Pure Barre’s low-impact, ballet-inspired workouts are made to transform your mind and body while lifting and toning all areas of your body… in just one hour. Really, you’ll never look at a two pound weight the same way again. Fitt Tip: if you’re shaking, it’s working!

With multiple locations around the city, it’s safe to say Orangetheory Fitness Nashville is doing something right. This intense 60-minute workout is designed to keep your heart rate in the targeted color zones (blue, green, orange, and red). And since you’ll have your own personal heart rate monitor, you’ll be able to push yourself through the rowing, cardio HIIT, and strength training. Your workout will consist of a dimly-lit, chilly orange room, bumpin’ music, and a whole lot of sweat. Oh, and how could we forget? A badass coach to get your through it all!

The name is pretty fitting. SHED Fitness in Belle Meade and the Gulch offers moderate- to high-intensity circuit stations to all and any fitness level who are looking to get ridiculously fit. The best part? SHED splits up the days of the week to focus on different muscle groups, so all you have to do is show up ready to work! You can choose from group circuit classes or personalized 30-minute strength classes, each of which will whip you into serious shape.

Deemed “The Best Workout in the World,” and in now 14 different cities, Barry’s Bootcamp classes are a one-hour sweat fest with your choice of strength training and cardio intervals or double strength training. With hill climbs, sprints, and dynamic mode all on a self-propelled treadmill, you’ll feel it the next day. You WILL NOT get bored, either — the floor work off the treadmill focuses on a different muscle group each day. Pop in for a full-body Sunday workout, and afterward, hobble to one of the many restaurants in the Gulch to refuel.

Talk about feelin’ the burn. CycleBar has made their home in the heart of the Gulch, Franklin, and Hendersonville (and soon, West Nashville and Brentwood) and they certainly are not getting overlooked. Your 50-minute ride, lead by your CycleStar, is accompanied by bumpin’ Spotify playlists and personal data monitors in a state-of-the-art CycleTheatre. Get ready for the hills and drills and even rider competitions. Not to mention, you can book the entire studio for a private event. Obviously your next birthday party, right?

HOTBOX kicks your ass smack dab in the middle of Nashville, perfect for squeezing in a heated session of kickboxing before or after work. The graffiti-painted gym in the center of town is always booming with rap music and energetic trainers. And the kickboxing classes never get old, with fresh new tunes and different routines each session. Each class is mixed with bodyweight exercises, kickboxing, and finishes off with abdominal work. Upstairs, you’ll have access to a complete gym, strength exercises, and the occasional yoga break.

Teamwork is what makes the dream work at BOOTHCAMP — a Nashville sweat spot offering private and group HIIT classes. With each day pushing a different muscle group to the max, you’ll get a full-body fix by the weekend. Classes use a variety of equipment and workout styles like the TRX, battle ropes, Rogue Echo bikes, aqua punching bags, a resistance bungee wall, and all sorts of other gym favorites. Wanna get in on the action? Head to the studio on 5th Ave. in Downtown Nashville.

Better together — that’s KrankFIT’s approach to cycling and strength training. And they’re definitely onto something here. KrankFit uses dim lights and loud music to encourage everyone in class to put forth maximum effort and intensity for one full, efficient hour of cycling and lifting. Ride and find your stride at their Green Hills fitness studio and prepare for some serious muscle burn.

You’re in for anything but an ordinary workout at Training Camp Nashville. The 10,000-square-foot space near Downtown Nashville on Davidson St. offers classes ranging from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to Youth and Adult Wrestling, MMA, Boxing, Strength and Personal Training, and yoga. Brought to Nashville by MMA champ Michael Chandler, you know you’ll get a top-notch workout no matter what class you sign up for. And don’t miss your chance to get your Instagram moment with the infamous lion post-workout. Intrigued? You’ll have to see it for yourself!

If you've never been to a CorePower Yoga class, then get ready for a high-energy, adrenaline-fueled sweat session that's far from your average yoga flow. Here, they offer classes in a room with the thermostat cranked to anywhere from 90-100º, depending on if you're taking heated or hot class (yes, there's a difference). With sweat dripping from every limb in your body, they'll guide you through a fast-paced series of poses meant to build strength and balance. And if you really want to challenge yourself, they also offer a Hot Fusion class that will test your will power. Newbies, no need to feel intimidated, either, they have a class specifically created for beginners that takes the heat out of the equation.

You can find world’s first studio to create a hybrid Pilates-cardio class in Green Hills. At SculptHouse, you’ll alternate between a Megaformer and a Woodway treadmill to strengthen and tone your muscles while kicking your heart rate up a notch. And while you’re sweating, SculptHouse uses color light therapy to help restore balance and achieve optimal wellness. With easy modifications and one-on-one instructor attention, you’ll feel like you’re in a personal training session during every group class.

Yoga doesn’t have to be quiet and intimidating. Put your deep belly breathing to use by laughing up a storm or humming along during beat-based flows in a gently heated room. Each class, from the cardio-inspired Vivid Flow to the chill Luminous Restorative, will get you out of your head, grooving to music, and seeing a new side to this practice. This creative Vinyasa studio is a fun, supportive place to start your yoga practice or refresh an old routine.

Fitness doesn’t get more functional than at F45. This 45-minute workout from Australia is here to challenge you and change you by never giving you the same workout twice. Classes alternate between strength and endurance each day of the week, but either way, you’ll be moving from station to station working up a sweat. Circuits will keep you on your toes as you learn and try new exercises you didn’t know existed (BOSU squat jumps, anyone?) and even work with new equipment you may be too shy to try at your gym (weight sleds, sledgehammers, etc.).

HIIT it hard at this heart rate-based training studio in The Gulch brought to you by Tim McGraw and Snap Fitness. The signature TRUFIT classes focus on a different part of the body each day, using equipment like sandbags, dumbbells, and battle ropes. You’ll build muscle all over while your wearable tech tracks just how hard you’re pushing yourself. The result is a total-body burn with metabolism-boosting effects long after your sweat sesh is over.
