Maybe you already know all about CrossFit but you just haven’t found a CrossFit gym (“box” in Cross-lingo) in Nashville for you. Or, maybe you don’t know a box jump from a muscle-up. Whether you’re a seasoned CrossFitter or just getting started, here are the best spots in the Music City to get fit.

Over in East Nashville, CrossFit 615 takes some of the pressure off of choosing a studio. That’s because they offer a free trial class, letting you decide if their 4,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art gym is right for you. And why wouldn’t it be, with everything from dumbbells to a rope climb they have all your CrossFit needs covered.

If you don’t happen to speak Latin (and we sure don’t blame you), Pro Vita translates to “For Life”. And it’s more than just a fancy name; this gym is wholly devoted to functional strength training, health, and nutrition. They offer nutrition services like advice on eating healthy and even a pre-made meal options. And hey, if you’re into working out in the middle of the night, your membership to this Germantown gym grants you 24-hour access.

SoBro’s CrossFit Forte is an independently-owned, dedicated CrossFit spot that boasts the only gym in Tennessee with multiple CrossFit Level 3 certified trainers. This large box goes above and beyond the training and workouts, offering nutritional services, support in outside events and endeavors, and a devotion to the local community through outreach events — it’s the Forte way.

On The End CrossFit is right on West End Ave. over by The Parthenon in Midtown. The 4,000-square-foot box is a clean (you don’t realize how important that is) and spacious testament to natural human movement. They have all the necessary equipment to help you push, pull, lift, and jump your way to the best shape of your life. Oh, and they offer a free trial day, too, just to be sure you love it.

Both Charlotte Ave. and South Central Nashville benefit from the beautiful gyms of CrossFit Nashville. And the folks here make a point to help people of all ages and skill levels accomplish their fitness goals. So whether you’re a CrossFit veteran or a freshly-recovered couch-potato, you’ll find guidance from their highly-trained and experienced coaches.

Previously known as CrossFit Barefoot, CrossFit Breakthrough maintains the emphasis on natural human mechanics that has even led to some shedding their shoes for a workout. Over in the Knob Hill Area, this gym is so committed to proper form and movement, they offer a free week of introductory classes to help you get the fundamentals down pat. They also provide private and semi-private training, if you’re looking to step up your fitness game.

Right in the heart of Music City, this gym on Cannery Row makes CrossFit accessible to everyone downtown, regardless of skill or age. While jumping into the CrossFit scene can seem intimidating, this box offers introductory classes that ease you into the program. The 3,500-square-foot facility serves up nothing but CrossFit, so you know they do it right. (And isn’t that what you were looking for, anyway?)

CrossFit West Nashville on Old Harding Pike isn’t just about getting super fit (though they do a great job with that). It was founded as a place that you want to go to every day. They’ve really taken the time to create a community around CrossFit, and they even offer programming for kids. The gym has tons of natural light in a clean and friendly atmosphere. And starting out, they offer four private personal training classes to get your ready for the real deal.

Even if you don’t live down in Brentwood, you might want to check out Real Change CrossFit. They’ve got it all in their huge gym clocking in at over 5,000 square feet. We’re talking CrossFit, Yoga for CrossFitters, CrossFit Bootcamp, CrossFit Kids, personal training, boxing, weightlifting, and even Functional Movement Screening (to make sure your body is movin’ right). And, if you’re just getting started, they offer a one-on-one training program to get your ready for your first full sweat session.

Situated on Old Hickory Blvd. in Antioch, Whole Strength CrossFit makes it their mission to ensure you achieve success and excellence. Trainers don’t try to throw you headfirst into your first class. Instead, they focus on technique, preparing you for all the WODs ahead with all the tools needed to reach your personal fitness goals. Schedule your first free intro training class to see for yourself what it’s all about.

“Do. Or do not. There is no try.” Yoda may have said it, but CrossFit Rising Sun uses it as a mantra to push individuals toward their fitness goals through challenging, elite training. Offering a supportive community in East Nashville, Rising Sun excels in bootcamp, boxing, and, of course, CrossFit. They also offer open gym time, so you can make your workout all your own.
