Last year, when Barry’s dropped the “Bootcamp” from its name, we knew something was up.
Now, with their latest announcement, our wildest dreams are coming true: Barry’s is getting into indoor cycling!
Meet Barry’s Ride — a combo workout that’s coming for the throat of your favorite cycling studio. Why ride Barry’s when there are 20 SoulCycles in the city? The short answer: Barry’s offers a different take on traditional cycling classes.
Building on the success of its HIIT studios, Barry’s adapted its signature Red Room for cycling — the Barry’s Ride “pop-up”, as they’re calling it, is actually connected to the Barry’s in Chelsea.
The new workout sticks with the strength training they’re known for. If you’re a Barry’s regular, you know the drill: Arms & Abs on Monday, Abs & Ass on Thursday, etc. At Ride, the only difference is you’re in the saddle for 25 minutes and on the floor for the rest without even having to change your kicks (they provide the dual-purpose shoes).
What to watch: the Barry’s Ride pop-ups in NYC and LA are said to end March 20. Subscribe to our weekly newsletter for updates on what’s next for Barry’s Ride.
