Anyone can throw a Beyond Meat patty on the griddle and call themselves woke to the plant-based lifestyle. But it has been done.
Enter: Little Choc Apothecary, a two-floor cafe in South Williamsburg, dishing out all-vegan, gluten-free crêpes that are actually something to get excited about.
Crêpes take up the largest part of the 15-page menu here, featuring a create-your-own option for people with a sweet tooth and savory signatures like BBQ jackfruit. And because this is New York, they even have a pizza-inspired crêpe.
But according to founder Julia Kravet, the cafe’s number-one seller is the Burrito crêpe, made with avocado, coconut bacon, black beans, chipotle hot sauce, and house-made cashew cheese. We promise there is nothing like it in the city.
And while Little Choc actually is a functioning apothecary, with a huge selection of medicinal herbs and elixirs, don’t get distracted. You need to go for the crêpes.
