We've come a long way, Philly. Avoiding gluten may have once felt close to impossible — but more than ever, the city's got GF options in spades. We know narrowing down the search for GF-friendly spots can be time-consuming. So look, we did all of the work for you.

We're determined to find the best, tastiest spots for you — eateries where you can feel comfortable ordering nearly anything and exploring a menu — not settling for the one compliant option you can manage to find.

Whether you struggle with celiac, have a dietary sensitivity, or support someone that does, you can rest easy at these GF-approved spots.

Just about everything at Double Knot is customizable — meaning gluten-free sushi rolls, sashimi and pad Thai for days. Opt for a build-your-own protein plate and a fancy shmancy coffee from their specialty espresso bar for a quick lunch at this Center City eatery.

When we think Harp & Crown, we think unique, totally delicious, and... Kendall Jenner. The eclectic restaurant/bowling alley hybrid attracts celebs like Drake for a reason. Most dishes are (or can be made) gluten-free, making it an ideal spot for both those with a gluten affinity and the gluten-free. Call ahead and reserve a lane.

Founded right here in town, the honeygrow fast-casual dining experience is one for the gluten-free books. Look out for that small but mighty "GF" label on the menu at any of their eight locations in the Greater Philadelphia area — and indulge in a Red Coconut Curry stir fry bowl or Greek Out salad. Stop at the staple honeybar to craft a dessert using fresh fruit, local honey, and a variety of GF garnishes like vegan chocolate chips and coconut flakes.

Disclaimer: this one is a serious date night splurge. Lunch isn't an option at Ocean Prime, but dinner and dessert is so on. May we recommend the king crab legs or Chilean sea bass? Not a seafood fan? The majority of the menu is gluten-free, so don’t sweat it. Choose from prime steaks, pork chops, and some gnarly salads and unique sides. On a nice night, take a post-dinner stroll to the nearby City Hall and Love Park.

Yes to gluten-free brunch. No to burgers wrapped in lettuce. South Street’s Southern-inspired REX 1516 caters to GF with custom menus for brunch, dinner, and dessert — decked out with roasted pork belly and blackened shrimp and grits, topped with a fried egg.

100% vegan and gluten-free-friendly? Say no more. It’s no surprise that Puerto Rican-inspired Bar Bombón is a Rittenhouse regular. Notable faves are the GF buffalo cauliflower tacos, empanadas, and nachos.

Blood orange margaritas, plantain chips with house-made guacamole, pork belly on corn carnitas... yeah, we’re a little convinced Lolita is GF heaven. The Mexican street-style joint is all Midtown Village can talk about, and honestly, who could blame them? Snag a spot—indoors or out—at this 13th Street eatery.

We can't decide what the best part about Fuel is — the fact that everything on the menu is less than 500 calories, or that all of their meals can be made entirely gluten-free. We’re gonna call it a tie. Explore a menu jam-packed with memorable flavors and 100% organic ingredients. Track down one of the three Philly locations to get in on a Strawberry Spinach salad, Korean BBQ wrap, or Teriyaki Chicken bowl (and a freshly squeezed Kale Pineapple juice, please).

Are you bored of customizable bowls yet? Hear us out — the Real Food Eatery menu is 100% gluten-free. Rice or salad bowls and full plates are designed by choosing an entrée, a grain or green, and two sides. Enter: Lemon Herbed chicken with Moroccan Chickpea salad and Golden Cauliflower.

There's a chance you’ve never seen anything quite as ridiculously adorable as P.S. (that’s short for Pure Sweets) & Co. This café incorporates a fluid menu that changes depending on availability of local ingredients, and boasts itself as Philly's one and only 100% GF, plant-based, and organic restaurant. Plus, it's hella cozy, and they offer BYO-cocktail, so stop by the liquor store on the way over.

'Pizza' and 'gluten-free' sadly aren't the best of friends. But SliCE rolls 10", organic-only GF pies daily. Go a little crazy with the toppings and try out Truffled Ribeye or Balsamic Glazed Brussels Sprouts. Or be boring. We won't judge. (They're also equipped with vegan cheese for all of the DF and GF folks out there.)

Pretty sure pretzels, bagels, and pizza are the components of a gluten-free nightmare. Think again at Taffets on S. 9th St., 'cause this Italian Market bakery brings unreal, homemade gluten-free breads to you. They have the sweet stuff covered, too, so dig into an Almond Vanilla biscotti or Carrot Cake Cookie bar while you're in.
