Here in Philly, we like to work hard and work out even harder. For every new co-working space that opens their doors, it seems like there are two boutique fitness studios close behind. But the folks at Life Time (who tout some of the largest, most luxurious gyms in the Philadelphia area) are taking their game to the next level.
They’ve brought together the briefcases and the barbells, the laptops and the lap pools, the printers and the sprinters. And they’re calling it Life Time Work.
Sweat-working is the new networking. And, while Life Time Work isn’t the first to bring co-working to the gym (City Fitness Logan Square offers a modest co-working space within their enormous gym), LT is doing things a little differently.
Life Time Work operates as a complete co-working space with a serious wellness spin: from sunlit solariums to ergonomically-designed workspaces, healthy snacks, and on-site tech help (because tech stress has a major impact on mental health, right?). Best part? A Life Time Athletic membership is included in all Life Time Work memberships.
Early birds and night owls alike can burn the candle at both ends and burn some serious calories. A Life Time Work membership allows a seamless transition from board meetings to bootcamp courtesy of early classes and late hours.
The Life Time Athletic space in Ardmore is enormous, full of top-of-the-line equipment and passionate staff. Their LifeCafe serves up acai bowls, energy shakes, and salads perfectly balanced to fuel whatever’s next on your agenda. Need a quick mani or massage before your meeting? LifeSpa is there, offering hair, skin, massage, and nail services. Luxe doesn’t begin to cover it.
In the pursuit of a healthy work-life balance, groups like Life Time are making the fine line between the office and other extracurriculars that much finer. And, with the ability to primp, pump, and present all in one space, we’re feeling as optimized as our coffee.
