Months removed from the Super Bowl, we’re still stunned with J.Lo’s performance. Her body, her moves, her skin... And she’s 50! We give up.
Being honest, we’ll probably never be as fit as J.Lo. But pretty soon, we can start working out like her. That’s because TruFusion, a next-level fitness concept backed by celebrities and athletes like A-Rod, Russell Wilson, and, yes, Jennifer Lopez, is coming to Pittsburgh.
Set to enter The Cork Factory development in 2021, TruFusion offers five studios under one roof. Yes, that’s a massive claim. But this place delivers, setting itself apart through heated and unheated yoga, Pilates, barre, cycling, and even classes centered on battle ropes.
With the addition of TruFusion, the Strip District—a neighborhood best known for wholesale fish and knockoff yinzer gear—is suddenly looking like Pittsburgh’s fitness mecca. See Mecka, its CrossFit extension 5 Borders, MADabolic, and F45 Training.
Wondering what makes TruFusion stand out? It’s their all-in-one approach.
While these other concepts are dedicated to HIIT, strength, or in the case of Mecka, a few different forms of exercise, TruFusion makes it appealing to have only one membership by offering all of them. Try to imagine 65 different group fitness classes in one place, split between Stretch & Restore, Burn & Condition, and Tone & Sculpt disciplines, using everything from kettlebells to aerial hammocks.
And while Pittsburgh has countless hot yoga studios, TruFusion will be the first to introduce Pittsburgh to the ultra-sweaty experience of other heated fitness, like hot cycling and the Tru Down N’ Dirty Bootcamp — a barefoot, “R-rated” circuit class combining yoga, Pilates, kettlebells, and what we can only imagine being some highly suggestive dance moves.
Hey, if it’s good enough for an A-list performer, World Series champ, and Super Bowl winner… yeah, we’re in.
