Yoga and beer — the two just seem to be made for each other. The trifecta? Making that outdoor yoga with locally brewed beer in a super-sweet, one-of-a-kind, only-in-Pittsburgh kind of spot.
To make it happen, Fitt is teaming up with Brew Gentlemen to host another epic summer yoga sesh. We like to refer to it as a “mega-session”. With a stunning space, talented instructors, some of the best beer in the Burgh, and our yogi community all in one place, it deserves a little extra attention.
On Sunday, August 27th, yogis will take over the Carrie Furnaces in Swissvale for an outdoor flow next to one of Pittsburgh’s most historic landmarks. What better place to bring together the community to celebrate an awesome city and even more awesome people?
The Carrie Furnaces are a true piece of Pittsburgh pride — literally building the city. Towering over 92 feet high, the 110-year-old steel tower is a reminder of our city’s roots. And the good vibes and fresh air at the Carrie Furnaces make the location the perfect spot for a great yoga flow. This class is sure to be an experience you don’t want to pass up.
The hour-long class, led by Hallie Stotsky and Becca Robertson, will kick off at 11:00 AM. Stick around after your flow for some brews, conversation, exploration, and maybe a few photo ops since the art installations, murals, and the giant industrial blast furnace are more than Insta-worthy.
We’ll keep you up to date on all things health, fitness and local food in Pittsburgh.
