Bitter Ends, an organic farm just outside of Pittsburgh that you may have seen around at local farmers markets, is bringing their specialty heirloom veggies to Bloomfield with the opening of Bitter Ends Luncheonette — a cozy new restaurant situated right off of Liberty Ave.
At this luncheonette (obviously THE place for tiny luncheons), you can expect fresh-baked everything, local coffee, sammies, salads, pastries, and more available for breakfast or lunch and for dine-in or takeout. And for those carb-loading days, you’ll be happy to know that Bitter Ends bakes their whole-grain, naturally leavened bread fresh every single day. But for real, what’s better than handmade, fresh-baked bread? Not much!
The advantage of being hyperlocal? All of Bitter Ends’ veggies come straight from their ½ acre organic farm in Verona. So if you’re looking for a tasty, locally-sourced meal, look no farther than 4613 Liberty Ave. They’re open Wednesday through Sunday from 7am to 2pm. Their doors are officially open now too, so we’ll catch ya there!
We’ll keep you up to date on all things health, fitness and local food in Pittsburgh.
