By now, you’ve probably noticed that yoga is taking over PGH, some may even call it a movement. Studios are popping up in every neighborhood, outdoor events are happening all over the city, and you can’t leave home without finding a group of yogis sporting stretchy leggings and zen expressions. In short, the yoga community is thriving — and we’re lovin’ every minute of it.
Looking to add a spot to your rotation? New studio, Bloomfield Yoga has you covered. Head to Liberty Ave. to check out the space and practice your asanas in the East End.
Relax, reboot, reenergize
Bloomfield Yoga officially opened their doors on June 24, just in time to catch the wave of summer energy pulsing throughout the city. And we’re sure glad they did. Because this trendy new sweat spot (we’re talkin’ exposed brick, potted succulents, and natural lighting) on Bloomfield’s main drag does not disappoint.
Trust us — They’ve. Got. Everything. Whether you wanna achieve total bliss through meditation or connect to your inner strength in a heated Vinyasa, you’ll find a flow that fits your style. Did we mention they also offer specialty classes like acroyoga? Advanced yogis: take your flexibility to the next level with a one-of-a-kind session that’ll (literally) turn your perspective upside down.
Though, there’s no need to feel intimidated if you’re a total beginner. Their killer team of instructors will guide you through, one pose at a time. Plus, newbies get an introductory discount with their first session. It doesn’t get better than that.
Strengthen and lengthen on Liberty
But one of our favorite parts about Bloomfield Yoga has gotta be the location. Liberty Ave. has it all. Various shops, local foods, specialty coffee — you name it. And after exploring all those PGH gems, keep the good vibes flowing with a mindful sweat sesh at Bloomfield Yoga. Then, rejuvenate with some post-workout eats at one of the many spots nearby (we’re all about Baby Loves Tacos).
Wanna see what the hype’s all about, no strings attached? You’re in luck. Stop by on Mondays and Wednesdays for a pay-what-you-can Vinyasa class that’ll challenge those muscles no matter what level you’re working at. Your (cash-only) donation supports a new non-profit each month, which means you’ll leave feelin’ good in more ways than one.
So clear your mind and prepare for a full-body experience courtesy of Bloomfield Yoga. We’ll meet you on the mat.
