When it comes to breaking a sweat, most of us think exercise is all work and no play. Maybe there’s a reason why it’s called working out and not playing out?
But then again, there are plenty of activities in Pittsburgh that combine getting fit and having fun to create a more playful sweat sesh. And few spots meet that standard the way the Climbing Wall in Point Breeze does.
For starters, this place is massive ‒ totaling nearly 14,000 square feet of free-for-all fun. Inside, you can boulder in the wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling climbing zone. Or if you’re feeling especially adventurous, you can learn to lead climb, top rope, and belay on a 50-foot high wall. They even have classes for newbies! Either way, planning and executing your route is a challenging and fun experience sure to have you hooked on this unique sweat spot.
