Heirloom Superfood Market is The Strip District’s New Go-to Spot For Unique Health Food

As if the Strip District didn’t have enough for your pantry, Heirloom Superfood Market is finally here, and it’s bringing a unique health food hub to bolster your most-necessary trips to Pennsylvania Macaroni and Mancini’s.

So who do we have to thank for this market of dreams? The folks over at the Pittsburgh Juice Company have transformed the former 31st Street Pub into a bright, clean space to sell all things organic, sustainable, and healthy — and, of course, we can expect to see a selection of their juices there, too!

At Heirloom Superfood Market, you’ll find everything from fresh organic produce to bulk nuts and grains to homemade vegan cheesecake. It’s a one-stop shop for all your gluten-free, dairy-free, and processed sugar-free needs.

Simplicity is key. Whether it’s organic fruits and veggies, nutritious dry goods, or local artisan goodies, Heirloom Superfood Market has you covered. They’ll carry the things you just can’t find in the big boxes, too. (Think nutritional yeast, wheat grass, activated charcoal, and more!)

The best part? You won’t have to read confusing labels or be overwhelmed by a million choices. It’s all just good, simple stuff. So if you eat plant-based or gluten-free, get ready. This is your “kid in a candy shop” moment.

And keep a look out: coming soon, Heirloom Superfood Market will offer grab-and-go for the late-breakfast/lunch/on-the-way-home-from-work crowd. Healthy choices made easy? Our favorite.

Heirloom Superfood Market kicked off their grand opening with a Raw Vegan Dinner featuring four courses with wine pairings and fresh-pressed juices. The dinner, hosted by chef Jessica of the former Carota Cafe in Smallman Galley, offered a menu to drool over: watermelon gazpacho + bitter greens/zuke/root veggie salad + vegan golubki with sprouted grains + rhubarb berry crumble with coconut ice cream.

But don’t worry if you missed it — the dinner is a part of a series that will also take place on Thursday, July 26, and Sunday, August 26. Grab your tickets now for a tasty evening, and don’t forget your tote next time you’re making a trip to The Strip!
