It’s Extreme Makeover: Strip District Edition along Smallman Street. All the changes and construction are pretty exciting, if you ask us. And we’re especially stoked on the new-ish BarreAmped studio just a few blocks away from the central market district.
We say new-ish because Meraki Studio actually opened this past summer. But now they’re really hitting their stride. The space itself is reason enough to stop by. They call it a sanctuary, and it’s easy to understand why. Think: Clean lines, minimalist design, and high ceilings. That, plus two of the four “walls” are actually floor-to-ceiling windows, so natural light always fills the studio (even when it’s Pittsburgh gray).
But you’re really here to break a sweat. And sweat you will. Try every variety of BarreAmped, from the classic class to Bootcamp to Cardio, and the appropriately named, Fire. Feeling adventurous? Take a Bounce class.
Yes, bounce like on a trampoline. But it’s not that ridiculous QVC infomercial workout. This action-packed class is a next-level cardio session set to an upbeat soundtrack. You’ll feel the burn and have a damn good time while you bounce and balance through this sweat session.
