Looking for a race more challenging than a 10k, but don’t feel quite ready for a half marathon or full-fledged marathon? Meet the EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler.
This mid-distance race is still relatively new to PGH, but has quickly become a fan favorite. The directly-through-downtown course allows runners to enjoy some of the best views of the Burgh, while experiencing the Steel City on foot.
Starting near the Duquesne Incline and winding through the West End, North Side, Lawrenceville, and Strip District, participants are sure to enjoy the picturesque urban scenery before they finish at the heart of downtown.
And for some runners, teamwork makes the dream work! Those who’d like to participate but are unsure about running the full 10 miles can register for the 2-person relay.
Feeling extra competitive? Gather a group of friends for the team challenge and dash to be the “Fastest 10 Miler team in Pittsburgh.” Want to take a more fun-filled approach? Don a cool costume and enter in the Spooky Kooky Costume Contest.
Whatever your style of running, the 10 Miler is sure to have something that will get your heart beating.
We’ll keep you up to date on all things health, fitness and local food in Pittsburgh.
