It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the Superhero Run!
Ever been on a run that felt so good, it was as if you were practically flying down the street? Take that feeling to a whole new level with this fun run for charity.
The Superhero Run hosted by the Superhero Foundation, an organization battling child abuse, is a 1K family run/walk or 5k race/walk that takes place in late April. Participants are akin to heroes by backing the rehabilitation of child victims of abuse and donning capes/costumes to fully embrace the superhero spirit.
That’s right, you now have an excuse to dress up like your favorite comic book character months after Halloween! The event is fun for the whole family, featuring a bounce house, face painting, and a costume contest.
Want a little extra incentive to donate? Every person who raises $25 or more will receive a mask and cuff set! $50 or more gets you a cape too. Now that’s some serious superhero swag.
We’ll keep you up to date on all things health, fitness and local food in Pittsburgh.
