SAY HELLO TO POWERHAUS, A GOOD-FOR-YOU PIZZERIA IN PACIFIC BEACH

Everyone’s favorite food is now a whole lot healthier thanks to good-for-you pizzeria Powerhaus in Pacific Beach.

A DEEP LOVE FOR PIZZA

This healthy pizza joint is a fresh idea from owner Anisha Blodgett, who previously worked as a New York real estate analyst before moving to San Diego and developing the concept for Powerhaus.

Anisha left high-stress real estate life to pursue her passion of health and wellness, and in the process, she discovered that instead of cutting out her favorite unhealthy foods entirely, she could simply make them healthier. Since she has always had a deep love for pizza—like really deep—the idea for a healthy pizza paradise wasn’t a huge leap.

POWER PIZZAS TO THE PEOPLE

Feel free to indulge in that extra slice — the pizza crust at Powerhaus is whole wheat and made with flax and plant-based protein. Plus, they offer gluten-free and cauliflower crusts as alternative options. And when it comes to the toppings, you can take your pick of all-natural options including meats, grass-fed dairy, and tons of veggies.

But Powerhaus doesn’t stop at pizza. They’ve rounded out their menu with a selection of natural sodas, cold-pressed juices, and kombucha on tap, as well as a variety of superfood smoothies and salads.

BEACH HOUSE VIBES

You can find Powerhaus in the former Papa John’s on Garnet in PB and they’ve given the space more of an industrial look. With a windowed, garage door front and beach vibes throughout, it’s safe to say that the place received a full remodel.

So next time you’re cruising PB or finishing up your afternoon beach jog, get your post-workout fuel in the form of a delicious, guilt-free pizza at Powerhaus — extra protein, please!
