Crank out the calories in Pedal & GLIDE — the perfect mix of endurance cycling and low-impact strength training.
La Jolla’s SPARKCYCLE delivers a 45-minute full-body workout that’s all about the performance. Instructors double as club DJ, pumping up the music, adjusting the LED lighting, and leading the class through a sweaty choreographed routine. And thanks to stadium seating, everyone has a view of the mirror, so you can dial in your form (and your dance moves). The classes at Implicit Cycling in Mission Gorge will push you to your max. Take a Functional Threshold Watt test (offered every Saturday) to determine your unique FTW, enter that number on your bike before class starts, and then hold on. There’s no coasting at Implicit. Which makes health-obsessed La Jolla the perfect spot for their San Diego location. Head to the super-chic studio in UTC for a heart-pumping workout complete with all the flashing lights and bumping music that have made SoulCycle famous.
The hybrid classes at this boutique studio in Downtown San Diego make it easy to get a full-body workout in in less than an hour.
