Get ready to burn! Every single class at Fit Factory Fitness is built to challenge you and then change you, but it starts with your hard work. Improve your agility, strength, and overall power as you push yourself and train like an athlete over the course of these one-hour class in their orange-hued, graffiti-chic facility. You’ll think you’re on a playground as you move between all of the equipment—like battle ropes and Aqua Bags (water-filled punching bags) — as well as timed sets of bodyweight and plyometric exercises. The result of all your hard work? Guaranteed sweat!

Every class at this spacious Leslieville gym is built around the latest in strength and conditioning research, so you know you’re in for a killer sweat sesh. Push your limits in a Warrior class, with timed exercises that test your rowing, sled push, and treadmill skills, or avoid the mid-week slump with a full-body strengthening Hump Day Pump Day class. If these sound a little too intense, or if you're new to fitness, One Academy offers beginner-friendly classes that offer all the benefits of high-intensity training while focusing on essential movements and techniques. It’s all in the name of building a powerful community together, as one!

“The best workout in the world” has taken the city by storm. There are only two Red Rooms in all of Toronto—one in Yorkville and one in the Entertainment District—so that means a constant stream of brave and sweaty souls can be found here. If you’ve never tried a class before, get ready to sprint on the treadmill and pump some iron on the floor. You’ll be rotating between the two stations, and depending on what day of the week you go, you’ll focus on a specific muscle group — like Arms & Abs on Mondays and Full Body on Tuesday. And while your bootcamp instructors may seem intense, we promise they’re there to help — ask for modifications if you need them!

Heart rate is everything when it comes to HIIT, and OTF is all about getting yours into the Orange Zone (84-91% of your max heart rate). Strap on your heart rate monitor and you can keep track of just what zone you’re hitting the entire workout via their interactive displays. Watch it soar during the cardio blocks—you’ll rotate between the treadmill and the rower—and then find that sweaty sweet spot when you use the free weights, step, and TRX during floor work. The best part? You can come here every day — no two workouts are ever the same!

Put in the work and you’ll see results — that’s what you get at this Riverside gym. Sign up for Metabolic Resistance Training if you want full-body functional movements with little rest between exercises, or try a Metabolic Conditioning class, which incorporates HIIT, Tabata, and circuits. Plus, you’ll get real-time performance metrics during all of your workouts with FORME’s wearable technology, so whatever class you choose to do, you can witness firsthand as you build lean muscle and boost your stamina.

We know you’ve seen one of these functional fitness studios before—there’s one on almost every corner—so it’s easy for you to get in for a 45-minute sweat sesh. At Aussie-born F45 Training, classes differ every day of the week, and you’re guaranteed to never do the same workout twice. Worried about keeping up? Don’t be. There’s a minimum of two instructors per class to show you the daily moves and help guide you through the strength and conditioning stations. You’ll learn to use new equipment (they have everything you can imagine here!), push yourself during timed drills and supersets, and leave feeling like you conquered the world!

Guys, you’re going to be jealous — this women-only Leslieville gym is all about getting strong in style, featuring a huge, bright training zone. And the lineup of classes is equally beautiful. Although we love the GETSTRONG signature, with its strength portion and a 10-minute HIIT sesh at the end, the GETCONDITIONED class is 50 minutes of nonstop bootcamp drills. Plus, if you have a friend who’s looking to get sweaty and strong, there’s even a partner-based version of the class every other weekend. Bring your heart rate down post workout by popping in the infrared sauna, grabbing a complimentary coffee, or heading over to the GETNOURISHED Bar for a smoothie, salad, or snack.

There’s nothing better than a studio that makes you feel at home, and that’s exactly what you’ll find (along with a guaranteed sweat) over at PHNX FITHOUSE in the Annex. Owner Rolli Adenmosun is all about bringing a can-do attitude and a family vibe to each and every class, no matter if it’s your first or 500th. If you’re looking to HIIT it up, both Fit and Flex classes will have you moving through circuits focused on cardio and strength conditioning. So, what’s the difference between the two? Fit is a total-body challenge that will leave you dripping in sweat, while Flex targets specific muscle groups (either upper- or lower-body, depending on the day) and works them till exhaustion. The fast-paced, one-hour classes will totally change your mindset on what you believe you’re capable of!

It’s all about finding a balance between strength and cardio here. There are 16 different classes to choose from, so we’re sure you’ll find something that suits your specific sweat needs: Treadsanity has you on the treadmill for half the class and then on the floor for strength work; Power tests your muscle and cardio endurance; Chiseled puts you through a total-body circuit; HIIT is a different combination of moves every class; 20-20-20 focuses on strength, cardio, and toning; MetCamp is all about metabolic conditioning… it goes on. We’re exhausted and we haven’t even gotten to the barre and Pilates options yet!

This is another one for the girls! It’s all about empowerment and inspiration at this boutique fitness studio in King West. The energy here is contagious, plus there’s a supportive community to cheer you on as you work it out. Almost every class incorporates a mixture of plyometrics, cardio, and resistance training, too. We suggest starting with the Bodies by Elle class—dedicated to strength drills and treadmill intervals—if you’re looking to jump into everything this studio has to offer. But for a workout that’s a little less traditional, be sure to try the beat-based HIIT Hop class and the total-body, timed interval circuits in Lean Machine. Fitt Tip: Keep an eye on the elle calendar — they host a ton of social and networking events based all around fitness!

This well-known gym over in St. Clair West is a neighbourhood go-to for a reason — there are over 10 types of HIIT and bootcamp classes you can take here! If you’re looking for total-body conditioning, try THE Circuit. Throughout the course of the workout, you’ll use medicine balls, dumbbells, assault bikes, rowers, and pretty much any other type of equipment you can think of while you power through timed strength and cardio rounds. However, if you attempt to book and the class is full, try TRX HIIT, BOOTYCamp, or STRENGTH Bootcamp. You won’t be disappointed with any of the options here.

Like the name says, a workout at this Riverside gym will change more than just your body. It’s all about small group training (class sizes max out at eight people) with lots of one-on-one attention. You can choose to join a Strength class, where you can develop your power lifts, or go for the bootcamp-style Komplete Workout. The 60-minute class focuses on metabolic conditioning and high-intensity weight training with equipment you won’t find in just any old gym — there’s a Rhino Belt Squat, a Woodway treadmill, and even a turf field for sled pushes.
