The Quiet Company & Impact Kitchen Have Teamed up For a “Lunch + Meditate” Series

Stress has a way of putting a damper on any day, so it’s always important to find outlets for relief. Well, in Toronto, you can now find your center any time of day — including your lunch break!

As the popularity of meditation studios and classes continue to rise in Toronto, The Quiet Company is making mindfulness an easy (and delicious) choice, even during the busiest of workdays.

Spend too much time with Netflix last weekend to get your meal prep done? Ease the stress of choosing what to pick up for lunch while finding a real sense of calm. The modern mediation studio has teamed up with Impact Kitchen, a Toronto-based restaurant focusing on nutritious food, to launch the new ‘Lunch + Meditate’ series with the goal of empowering people to live a healthy life in every way.

Join in on Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:15 pm for a 30-minute class that starts with a guided meditation at the studio to fuel your mind and ends with a high-quality lunch to fuel your afternoon. For only $28 (a regular drop-in is $22), you’ll have access to the class and be able to claim a lean or macro bowl at Impact Kitchen Adelaide, just a three-minute walk away.

Though, you should get to know your hosts. The last place you’d expect to find a calming oasis like The Quiet Company is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of King West and Spadina. But as soon as you step inside the clean, bright space, the day’s worries and frustrations are traded for comfort and relaxation.

If you remembered to pack a lunch but still want to try meditation, the studio offers a range of drop-in classes, courses, and workshops focusing on self-reflection, movement, and getting in touch with your heart and soul every day of the week. And when you’re pressed for time, there’s even a 15-minute express class to reset you for the rest of the busy day.

The community environment of The Quiet Company extends beyond its four walls, too. With art and textiles made by Toronto-based artisans throughout the studio, it was a natural fit to partner with a local restaurant like Impact Kitchen for a food-focused series.

Founded on the idea that our food choices have the power to bring positivity and optimism into our life, Impact Kitchen works with the local community to source the freshest ingredients of the highest quality.

The entire restaurant is gluten-free and caters to every dietary preference, from paleo to vegan. Choose from a menu full of drool-worthy bowls, baked goods, and smoothies. Specifically, when claiming your lunch as part of the Lunch + Meditate series, you’ll get a choice of chicken, steak, salmon, or falafel on top of a bed of fresh, colourful produce.

Hungry for some R&R? If you’re looking for a little peace and quiet in your day, or just need an energy boost, it’s time to take that lunch break! Book a cushion here.
